Rated 1 out of 5 by dkengelen Comfortable but no lace replacement is absurd
While I have enjoyed these shoes, it is completely unacceptable that the shoes must be pitched because the laces cannot be replaced. I have never (repeat multiple times) seen any shoe like this before.
Much as I hate it, I have come to accept that soles cannot be replaced on the vast majority of shoes today, but to be disposable due to an inability to replace the laces is beyond belief.
This is an unacceptable product.

I have been wearing nothing but cresta hikers and mountain treads for over 10 years because of back and knee issues. I have tried to wear shoes and could not. I tried these and
,success. I have worn these for a few days now with no problems. They are very comfortable, well cushioned, and supportive. I wear a 9 in hiking boots. The 9's were too big in these. I guess because I am wearing them without socks. I am wearing the 8.5 and they are great. I can not recommend them highly enough. Oh I almost forgot. They are very good looking too. So say I and my wife.

Like these boat moccasins -- however, my husband has noticed that these particular boat moccs do not have a leather insole and DO NOT feel good on his feet when his feet get wet inside these moccasins. Previous boat moccasins have leather insoles 'cause one does get wet feet playing with boats.
Hope this info is helpful to other sailors!

My 16-year old son has size 14 Wide flat feet and needed boat shoes for his summer job. We ordered these and they fit him great right out of the box. So far they've been doused in salt water and worn for many hours where he has to stand and they've held up great.

I just received my Halyard boat shoes and tried them on right away. I ordered my usual size and they fit great and are comfortable. I like the way they lace up. They are not loose like some other styles with rawhide laces. Another reviewer pointed out that the laces are sewn in. I think this is done to keep the laces around the edge of the shoe in place. If the laces used to tie the shoes ever need to be replaced, I think it would be possible to simply cut the laces and replace the top portion with new ones. We'll see. Think this is a minor concern and I would recommend these shoes to anyone looking for comfortable boat shoes.

This may seem like a picky complaint, but the round fabric laces eventually wear out and there is no way to replace them that I can see. They are sewn into the shoe. After break-in the shoes are quite comfortable and have held up well. I would continue to wear them if I could replace the laces. Very unfortunate.

I just bought a pair of these shoes for my younger son to wear to school. My older son is on his second pair - he wears them every day and says they are very comfortable. Both boys have high arches and use separately purchased insoles that fit well in this shoe. They hold up well and are also priced very well.
I would highly recommend this shoe - they have many sizes (my older son wears a hard-to-find size 14) and widths.

Prior to purchase, I had read prior reviews regarding this product. Specifically regarding shoe size, it was initially recommended to go with ones standard/regular size when purchasing. I did so and upon receipt, the "cut" was small. Had to trade up an one-half size. Love the shoes. I'll be baaack!

I wear boat shoes as every day wear. The thicker soles and sturdy construction give longer wear than most boat shoes.
