JosephYellowstone Great Tent! Enough space for one or two hikers!
I just assembled the Acadia tent this afternoon in Indiana. The only con is that the assembly does take a little bit longer including the fly for the first time. Overall, a GOOD tent to spend the summer season traveling to national parks in the trunk of your car.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Grateful11 It's Huge!
We just set this tent up in the living room and it's huge. The tent has a much different set up than we are used too. That being said having two people to set it up makes it much easier. It did go up very quickly with the two of us working on it. The amended directions that were included were also a big help.

nhmillgirl Frustrating assemble
This is a fantastic little tent, once it's assembled.
I wanted something I could put together myself for solo camping, but every time I got one side put together, the other side fell apart. I had to give myself a time out in the middle of assembling it. And even by the third trip I took it on, I ended up annoyed and asking for help.
I'm a hearty camper, but this tent is going back. It's a shame, because once it's up, it's GREAT. I suggest keeping with one of the dome-type tents. Those go up in minutes and are easy for one person to handle.

Rated 5 out of 5 by EagleM08 2+ person tent
As usual, L.L. Bean has delivered an excellent product. This is an incredibly spacious 2-person tent; there is more than enough room for two people to sleep (my wife and I usually each have a cot) and storage for a weekend's worth of gear, not including the two vestabules. This tent could probably accomodate a third camper, as well. Being a somewhat taller man, I also like the ample headroom in this tent.
Again, as usual, the L.L. Bean has built a product that seems to be able to take a beating, too. I'm looking forward to many years of taking this tent on camping trips.

Rated 4 out of 5 by SwimmomMe Good features, complicated setup
We have used this tent once so far with success. The vestibules and side vents are a great asset. It was luxurious for our daughter to sleep in alone, and is roomy enough for two comfortably. Our other two tents are Ultra Domes that seem to be discontinued. I like the setup for those, but not for the Acadia. Though setup could be worse, it takes some patience to get right.

Rated 4 out of 5 by MorningMist Smaller than advertised
I didn't actually purchase this tent because of the drawbacks I noticed, but I set it up in the store and checked it carefully. I noted a couple of problems with the specs that I hope will be corrected at the website.
First, the photo of the woman sitting in the tent door is NOT the Acadia 2---it's the Acadia 4, so don't imagine that you're going to have that much space in the 2.
Second, I measured the tent carefully and found that it is significantly smaller than advertised. The actual length that I measured is 84"; width 55"; height in the center 37". There is one small corner above the door that's 45" as advertised.
Still, the first thing you notice about this tent is that it is much roomier than the average 2-person tent due to both floor space and headroom. There is probably room for a child and/or a dog in addition to two adults. The size comes close to some 3-person tents.
I was a little concerned about the stability of the rectangular frame on top of the tent. It seemed sort of floppy. Some other drawbacks that made me decide to buy another brand: only one door; fiberglass rather than aluminum poles; heavy; tent fly seemed too close to the roof of the tent.
The side ventilation is a strong point. Also, the set-up initially appeared complicated but it's really quite simple: 1) Insert elbows through the sleeves over the front and and rear. 2) Connect sides pieces to the elbows. 3) Insert 4 legs.
This is definitely not a backpacking tent. But I think it would make a great car camping tent for two people who want more room than a typical 2-person tent without going to a 4-person.

Rated 4 out of 5 by goofygood Very nice tent
This tent is very spacious for two people. The setup is straightforward and only takes a few minutes. The airflow through the tent is great and the vestibules add plenty of storage space. The only negative I see is that it's a little heavier than most two-person tents. Other than that, it's a great tent and I would recommend it for any avid camper.

Rated 5 out of 5 Great little tent
I've purchased numerous brand name 2-man tents over the years and the Acadia from l.l.bean beats them all. The quality of workmanship, the design, and all the extras. For instance the poles are thicker. I've had numerous poles from other brands break. The tent is a little longer. I'm 6 foot and can lie lengthwise with room to spare. And awesome ventilation. Great tent !
