Rated 5 out of 5 by SCStatebulldog SOFT, COOL AND STUNNING!
I can't understand the negative reviews of Bean's percale sheets: they are incredibly soft and beautiful! These Indian block prints are just fabulous, and I have mixed and matched from the collection of blue and white patterns currently being offered. The results have given my bedroom a great makeover!!
I'm so pleased with these percale sheets, and I highly recommend them. They have a very deep pocket and they tuck in extremely well.

At first, I ordered these sheets in white. They were wonderful! *Buttery* soft & not the least bit scratchy. The white sheet set was worth every single penny. Unfortunately, the stark white color just wasn't the best match for my overall bedroom scheme, so I traded them in for the beige sheets. *insert sad face* The beige sheets felt nothing like the white ones. They are, indeed, very scratchy & they don't have that wonderful, buttery feel that the white sheets had. I have washed them several times & I'm holding onto them because I love the color. I'm just crossing my fingers that if I wash them enough, they'll eventually get softer. Man, if only they felt like that first set I bought in white..... Those sheets were heavenly.

Rated 4 out of 5 by PiningForThe60s Percale sheets -- almost like they used to be
Well I'm old enough to remember and to still possess some percale sheets from 30+ years ago -- yes, made in the good old USA. The old sheets are still very smooth (right out of the dryer!) and cool to the touch when used, but they're wearing out. I have been purchasing so-called "percale" sheets from a number of places, and have been very disappointed by the rough feel and the way they wrinkle in the dryer, no matter what temperature I use to dry them. Why am I not surprised to find that LL's pima percale sheets are as close in feel and appearance to my old sheets as I've been able to find so far? Still not as cool and smooth as the old ones -- but acceptable, and I can live with that -- because apparently I have to. Sigh.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Heshi Crisp, cool and perfect!
We bought a set of the cream 280 count pima cotton sheets and could not be more satisfied. The sheets both look and feel perfect! They are very crisp and substantial, but they still feel very light and cool, even on hot summer nights. If you're on the fence about ordering these, I would highly recommend them!

Rated 5 out of 5 by HanoverFamily Just like grandma's sheets!
I've been looking for good sheets for several years. I purchased the queen size in the Antique Pine color two months ago. These sheets are high quality - both fabric and sewing construction. They feel cool and smooth, just like grandmas! Also fit the bed perfectly (our bed is medium depth). I plan to buy more.

Rated 5 out of 5 by dogsNkids 'cool' sheets~
The negative reviews had me on the fence for months- but ultimately we did a 'whole house' bedding upgrade a few weeks ago. This included a new set of window pane percale sheets for 'mom's bed' as well as a new loft bed and sheets from a local store for my son (4.5yrs).
I LOVE these sheets! they were a tad stiff when I opened them, but a trip through the W/D and soft perfection for percal (might be the woolie dry balls helping to soften).
Within a few nights and a little one sneaking into my bed, my son announced simply- that HIS sheets are too warm, 'I NEED your bed mommy, the sheets are cold'! no lie- my 4.5yr old would rather have these sheets than the super soft sunwashed shark print ones he picked out! I just wish I could get one of the fun prints like the Buoy for his twin bed and keep him in his bed- not mine!
best of all- my 'double' pillow top mattress- which has been a struggle to find a Full fitted that stays put (I usually have to use queen that are sloppy or full that tend to pop off) these fit my bed perfectly! I sleep great- and even one of the dogs moved the duvet to get directly on the sheets (a first for this 9yr old lab).
love, love, love- will buy more.

Rated 4 out of 5 by TheHomemakerAtHome Great sheets but they do tear
Fantastic sheets, but after about 4 years they tore right in the middle. Other customers have said the same. But thanks to LL Bean's 100% satisfaction guarantee I sent them back and will get a new pair shortly.

Rated 1 out of 5 by kali11 Flat sheet ripped for me, as well.
We also bought these 3 or 4 years ago and the fitted sheet also developed a significant tear in the middle of the sheet. They are unusable now. I would have expected more for the cost and have been super happy with them until now.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Caroline208 Variable reviews from mine - would not repurchase
I purchased 2 sets (pink and green) based on the 100% cotton content and overall good reviews, and thinking some new sheets would be a treat. I don't understand the "thin" fabric cited since my sheets are really too heavy for me - only use them in the colder weather and still, they don't feel comfortable - and didn't soften upon washes as I had hoped. The top sheet size, since I have a platform bed, is fine but it seems it would be short in width with a box spring and mattress (length is okay). I wished they had used a little more fabric in the pillowcases. One Very Annoying Feature - same on both top sheets - is the top sheet border. It doesn't flatten as it should, is therefore wrinkly, and I even tried to repeatedly iron this border and the folds absolutely won't iron out. The double fabric border is also not as wide as other sheets that maybe adds to the problem of possibly too tight stitching, but this shouldn't have happened.

We are so happy with these sheets, the are soft, cool and yet crisp. They wash well, which is something of a trick as we are retired and RVing full time and I'm using a small combo RV washer. I am ordering more.
