The previous duvet covers I've purchased from L.L.Bean have had ties in the corner to keep the down comforter where it should be. Why did you do away with the ties? Now the comforter shifts inside the duvet and it looks sloppy. I'm going to be buying twill tape and sewing my own in, but am disappointed that you cut corners in the corners!

Rated 5 out of 5 by NorthernLLBeanShopper love the quality and that it's not "sateen"
I bought the antique pine color. I know another reviewer said the color was "lime". I agree that it is not what I think of when I hear "pine" but I wanted more of a grass green and this is great! In addition, the quality is terrific. It is getting harder and harder to find sheets and other bedding that is not satiny. My family wants cotton, not satin. My husband and I have the queen size ultrasoft cotton comforter from LL Bean and it is probably 10+ years old and has held up very well (in blue) and we love it but wanted to update the color. This cover works great. The cotton comforter does not have loops for the ties but I will either try and keep the corners in place using the ties like photo corners, or if it becomes a problem I will sew some ties on the comforter. But I have a duvet cover on a different comforter on a guest bed, also without ties, and it works fine. In any case thanks LL Bean for this terrific cover, I love the grass green color (though you might want to change the name of the color because it really isn't close to pine color, and I live among pines in MN) and the fabric.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Oxaloacetate Lovely cover!
I really like this cover. It was a little bit scratchy to the face (not hands/body) at first, but after washing it once it has improved a lot and I expect it will continue to do so with further use. The pattern is cheerful and a pretty color without being to bright or loud or dated (I have the antique pine floral print). The fabric is a nice weave that feels like good quality, and the ties are sewed in firmly. I also find that my comforter is not sliding down or bunching up inside; the cover and comforter stay together pretty well. Thanks for a quality product once again!

I'm very disappointed with the color of the duvet, Instead of a rich green it is LIME GREEN! Hate it.
The texture of the fabric feels like crepe paper and makes a crinkling noise just like it.
The quilt kept me warm (liked the quilt) but the duvet stays cold to the touch all night long.

I am admitting that I am writing this review while close to being in a rage. I should not be this frustrated trying to make a bed!!! I actually had to stop, to go get my sewing kit and some ribbon so that I can create extra ties on the top of the comforter and inside the cover. After spending over $500 for a comforter and the cover, I shouldn't have to be doing this! If I didn't like the pattern and color so much, they would be going back. There should be either more ties, or even buttons along the top to attach the comforter and cover to each other so I don't have a mess.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Barda88 Too big!
I ordered this duvet cover because I liked the print. The fabric is great and the color as well, but the king duvet cover seems way too big for our comforter. There is a lot of extra fabric. I'm tempted to order a queen-size for the king comforter just so it fits properly. And I have not been able to shrink it yet!

We love crisp sheets - not sateen or silky! In the past we have purchase the mono colored sheet - and would give 5 stars. Not these sheets. We will return them.

This is, by far, the nicest comforter/duvet cover I've ever seen. It is exactly how a duvet cover should be. The thread count is fine as it is extremely soft and has that feel of coolness next to my skin. It has 4 ties inside for tying on the duvet loops. The best part, though, is that it has (12) buttons on the end that are medium size, tightly stitched and perfect size. You simply turn it inside out, tie the 4 ties, pull it down over duvet and then button up. I searched the internet for a whole day just trying to find a duvet cover with buttons and apparently it's very rare, or only 2 or 3 buttons are offered. This is top of the line in my book. It is what I consider a European duvet cover. Thank you for a great product!

I ordered the Heirloom Lilac. It is a beautiful colour. The quality is excellent. The only thing I noticed is that the standard shams are tight on my standard pillows; it would be nice if they were a bit larger. Overall, I am very happy.

Bought the Primaloft king comforter with this duvet cover The major problem is that 4 ties in the corners are not adequate. The weight of the comforter causes it to shift down in the middle. It is a significant design problem for the kingsize.
My husband had me remove the cover. So now I have a huge comforter which has to be cleaned in a commercial washer with a dog sleeping in the middle of it. I may have to sew twill tape loops and ties all across the comforter and cover. For a $300 investment I should not have to do this.
