100% Wool and made in the USA! Yes, it's itchy, it's wool. The more you use it, the softer it'll get. I absolutely love it. Looks very much like the one displayed in the picture. It's very pretty. The fringes are finished nicely, I didn't notice anything wrong with them. Looking forward to many warm evenings on the couch with this blanket.

After all the positive reviews for the wool throw in color natural plaid, I purchased this item. It is a most disappointing purchase. The wool is so stiff, it is not wool that I have come to know. I have purchased many washable wool blankets as well as wool throws from Bean, and they were all lovely and of good quality. Not this one. Is it possible that I received an inferior batch? This one will be returned and I will be looking elsewhere.

Three years ago I bought a dozen of Bean's washable wool throws. At that time they were $50.00 each and made in Uruguay. They are fantastic!! I just purchased this years version priced at $89.00 and MADE IN THE USA. The quality does not even come close! The one I received is no way as soft, actually a bit scratchy and not as thick. There are tiny holes along the non fringed edge. I assume from the way it was produced. I did not send it back because I took it to my embroider still in the package to have a friends name put on. Now when she comes to visit I will have to hide mine so she wont compare! What happened L.L. Bean??? I am from Maine and even remember the old man sitting at the top of the creaky staircase greeting customers in the 60's. I don't think he would approve of this one! It's good to have the jobs in the US,so work on it to get it right. Thanks for reading

This throw is exquisite! I chose the natural plaid and it is very true to colors shown. The teal matches my recliners beautifully and blends well with the wallpaper in the room. I use them to cover the seat and arms in case of coffee spillage, as we have our morning coffee in this room. Size is perfect, no pilling. There is nothing negative to report. Haven't washed them yet, but I'm sure they will come out beautifully. Don't hesitate, buy now! You'll be glad you did! I would buy them again without hesitation.

I bought one throw for my daughter. It was so lovely that I ended up buying one for my son and another for me. All in different colours and all so beautiful, warm, comfortable and reasonably priced.

Baycyd Color not the same
We are huge LLB fans, especially last year when the great style finally started living up to the excellent quality LLB always offers. We bought the blackwatch throw last year and loved it so much that we tried to buy another one with a different pattern and they were all sold out too soon! This year, we bought another one early -- the vintage plaid. It's exceptional quality and price, but the color doesn't begin to match the picture in the catalog or on line. The actual throw is predominantly dark green with brown and a little bit of navy and orange-red stripes. Not what we expected at all. We need to live with it a few days to see if we'll keep it. I bought the throw for myself for my birthday. When it arrived, it was just as lovely as it was in the picture and of very high quality. I got the natural plaid, and the sky blue incorporated into the pattern is cheering in the dark days of winter.

I purchased this item in the Natural Plaid, which is a chocolate brown and blue plaid. The colors are very pretty, and the online photo colors were true. I use the throw as a lap robe when reading, and it is warm. It is not scratchy, but I would not characterize it as extremely soft, either. It seems of good quality. I have not laundered it yet. I am pleased with my purchase.

I was attracted to the catalogue photo of this throw because the colors were the same that I used in my Family Room. When it arrived I was not disappointed; it looks great with my furnishings.
But looking good doesn't keep you warm. Like many families today we have turned our thermostat down to save money and energy and our house can be chilly in the evening. I'm happy to report that our new throw is as warm as it is beautiful.
I haven't washed it yet but it appears to be well made with a tight weave so I don't anticipate any problems. And with Beans guarantee I have peace of mind since they stand behind their products.
The only improvement that I could suggest is to make it a little larger, say 4 inches on each side. But overall we are so happy with this throw that we are considering buying another.
