Outstanding comfort right out of the box. Great look with khakis or jeans. The main issue that I have with these is the sound they make. I have only had them a couple of weeks and worn them 4 or 5 times. There is a constant squishing sound as you walk and your feet move inside the shoe. I am hoping that after they "break-in" the sound will go away, but that may just be wishful thinking. Otherwise, a great shoe and a good look.

Pricey but comfortable and stylish. I am teacher and these shoes go quite well with my casual work wardrobe.

These shoes are extremely comfortable right from the start. Very soft and light but still have a substantial, solid feel; not necessarily "slipper-like". There was no break in required. Quality workmanship. The footbed has more arch support than I have seen in other shoes of this type. Look great with jeans. Hope these shoes continue to be offered for a long time because I will definitely order these shoes again.

As always what a great product from Llbean. Just as comfy with or without socks. Really no break in needed just put them on and go. Very well made and should last for a very long time. Thanks again for a fantastic shoe. Oh and very true to size.

Rated 4 out of 5 by GraRigs Condition the leather frequently
I do like these shoes. They are very nice in most ways. The construction on them is very good and I foresee them lasting a long time.
However, a warning, the leather dries out quickly. The original colour is beautiful, but they get to be a very dull brown after about two months. I didn't think to condition them for a while so some black marks, almost like oil drips, started to appear from the stitching. People have speculated that they are sweat marks which were allowed to form due to the dryness of the leather. Conditioning them with coconut oil does give them less contrast, until they dry out again. I blame myself for this happening though.
Also, as all mocs do, they look a little odd when worn with socks. So if you're at a place where it would be inappropriate to go sockless, you probably want other shoes if you're wearing shorts.
All in all, very good shoes with a decently short break in time. Just learn from my mistake and condition them frequently, I recommend using coconut oil.

After I received these mocs and had a chance to wear them, I knew I had to have another pair. They feel great and look great. The quality is obvious. They even come in wide sizes. When you find outstanding value, you need to order up promptly and that's what I did.!

Bought a pair of the olive mocs a year back and have worn them practically everyday -boy they are buttery soft. The slight wearing I've developed over time remains strictly on the sole. The oiled suede still looks new and I can never be sure whether it repelled grime or just let it melt in. On sizing: I could have bought a side down. To LLBean: please consider releasing another suede addition of these keepsakes.

I just took these shoes out of the box and wore them. They were perfect ! They matched exactly my expectation. I am usually a good critic and I have found these shoes to meet all my expectation.

the jackman blucher mocs in amber suede look amazing and shipped in just 7 days for me. right out of the box you can smell the authentic leather and fits true to size. If you're worried about whether or not the images are accurate, don't worry because the color and look of these shoes match the images perfectly.
Definitely worth the money and would recommend this to anyone looking for a not so expensive, nice pair of boat shoes.

Rated 5 out of 5 by SemperSometimes A class above the standard blucher mocs
I had ordered the standard LL Bean blucher mocs in saddle but was disappointed by their low quality: the leather looked and felt very cheap. It felt plasticky to the touch and it was obvious that they would not develop a patina. In addition, they made a squeaky noise when worn sockless. Even after application of leather lotion to the problem areas they were still quite squeaky, which is a dealbreaker for me. Their only advantages were that they were comfortable and the color is versatile.
I decided to return those and spend $10 more on these Jackman signature mocs. I would say the improvement is worth more than $10. The leather quality is noticeably better: it was sturdier to the touch and oiled such that it has a color to it. We're not talking full grain leather here, but it actually has developed a patina after a month or two of wear.
The sole is the classic "camp sole" of older blucher mocs instead of the bizarre future-chic sole of the standard mocs. The sole is tan colored which looks less tacky than the black sole of the standard mocs. Finally, the welt construction of the sole looks better though I am by no means qualified to make that statement. It's just that there seems to be a layer of leather in between the sole and the shoe, unlike on the standard mocs, which I think indicates a better welt.
The rawhide laces are a nice touch: I think most casual leather shoes are improved with rawhide laces as they lend a more "Americana" look than standard shoelaces (and they are miles beyond the tacky looking taslan laces found on the standard blucher mocs. I think taslan laces belong on workboots only).
The comfort of these shoes is unbelievable. They have nice insoles that are comfortable both sockless as well as with socks. I do not exaggerate when I say these are the most comfortable shoes I've ever worn.
As far as looks go, they are quite handsome. I generally prefer lighter brown shoes b/c they are more versatile but these shoes have grown on me. As with all other dark brown shoes they will go with everything except black slacks.
In summary, these shoes are well worth the extra $10. They are my favorite pair of shoes. I may buy the whipstitch camp mocs next. The standard blucher mocs are a cheap, trashy embarrassment to LL Bean's good name. These signature mocs rectify that.
