Rated 1 out of 5 by Photoaddict Shirt Gets Snags
I love the feel and look of this shirt and and especially like having a pocket. I have purchased two of them. Within a month, one of them had three long snags and two short ones. One of the snags is now a hole. I have no idea how I got these snags but my cotton Carefree Ts (some of which are a couple years old) never snag. I'll be returning the one that snagged and hoping the other one remains snag-free.
I hope L.L Bean can find a fabric for this T that will work as I am a long-time L.L Bean customer and love their products and service.

I purchased four of these shirts between January and April of 2014. I really liked the style, feel, and how well the fabric breathed. But all four are now in the trash. The fabric itself is the worst I have ever seen or purchased from LL Bean. The fabric snags on anything and everything. Sometimes I would be so careful and then look at the front and there was a snag not knowing how it actually got there. Then the snags turned into holes. Yes holes. I have been a loyal customer of LL Bean for years. I have always liked their products. Quality products. But this shirt is the worst. At $35/ea. I lost $140 total. If possible I would have given this no stars as it is the worst ever. I should have packaged all four shirts up and sent them back.

Bought this for him to wear on our sailboat in Central America. Fabric looks perfect but color is dull and zip pocket on the front was a show stopper. It just did not look good on him as he is a bigger guy. Also, wish they offered it in tall sizes. To bad it is going back as it would have been great. I noticed the zip pocket seems to be common this year in the UPF shirts here which has made me go to another retailer to buy his shirts.

Rated 5 out of 5 by 3503 Great zipper pocket T-Shirt
I've been looking for a t-shirt like this for years. Pockets on t-shirts have never been a strong point in design, but this vertical pocket is about as close to perfect as it can be.
Bean is probably constraining the market by calling this a "technical fishing" shirt. It's great for just about any activity you might wear a t-shirt for.
Could usefully be available in long sizes.

I have been waiting for a synthetic shirt with a pocket to use when backpacking. This one works great. Colors are a little bland but maybe they didn't want to scare the fish(?). I have two and I am thinking about getting the long sleeve version.

The shirt is fast drying and comfortable. However, the shirt is not good at keeping you warm by itself.

This shirt is nice...
Nice fit, nice length, nice colors, nice comfort.
Also goes nicely with the "technical fishing shorts"

Much more than a fishing shirt. Cool, comfortable, and fashionable. What about more colors?

There may be a little fishy logo on this shirt, but I'm using it (actually two of them) on my recumbent bicycle. I don't need a pocket in the back, but the one in the front is great for the iPod. Great sun protection, cooling on the ride, and sweat hardly shows. Gonna get another one for a 500-mile ride in June.
