Rated 4 out of 5 by CampingFlyfisherman Kennebec wader review
Returned from first trip with new kennebec waders. No leaks, and they were tested in water up over the wading belt. I order the waders in a stout size following the sizing information. The waders are loose in the legs and chest area, At first I was not sold on how loose they fit, but they are easier to put on and take off. A major reason for purchasing these waders was the customer satisfaction that LL Bean is known for.

Rated 5 out of 5 by mjmurray98 New Kennebec Waders, love 'em!
I got my new waders about a month ago, and finally got a chance to try them out last week. I spent three days fishing the Davidson and Wautuaga Rivers in NC, without complaint when it came to the waders. They fit like they were custom tailored, I'm 5'10", 180 lbs, and wear a size 10 shoe, I purchased mediums. They didn't leak a drop. I spent at least 24 hours in the water, and loved every minute of it. We'll see how they hold up over time, but I'm not concerned about that at all, they are very well built waders.

Very good quality. My son was jealous he bought his from a competitor and paid more money.

Rated 3 out of 5 by pillcaster booties too small
Nice waders, 2 problems caused me to return them: 1. The booties were too small for me to wear any type of heavy sock - the size chart said they would fit my size 11's, but they were so tight with heavy socks I couldnt wear them. 2. The suspender "harness" is too big/bulky for me, a small, lighter suspender would be better. On the plus side, the color is great, darker than the picture. The fabric is nice, the belt system makes it easy to get a good fit in the body. The belt is stretchy and doesnt lend itself to attaching a staff holster, but does great as a wading belt. Chest pockets are nice, great quality, but are smallish, dont expect to replace a vest with them. I would have kept them but for the booties, too big is better than too small.

This was my first time dealing with LL Bean and what a great experience. I was unsure of a size to get and called customer service. They were very helpful and the product arrived as promised. It fit well and I used them the first day of trout season in PA and they were awesome. I highly recommend them for anyone looking for a great pair of waders!

Rated 5 out of 5 by BrianL So far so good
Bought these a few weeks ago and took them on my first trip. No leaks (should be an obvious feature, but my last pair from a competitor failed this one straight out of the box). "Feel" pretty durable and construction looks solid. I particularly like the design of the suspenders and the integrated wading belt is pretty nice. Front pocket/handwarmer also good, but no waterproof pocket which I know is a feature in some others. For the price they seem like a pretty good deal, but I'll have to see how well they hold up after I've put them through some abuse. Pay attention to the sizing chart - I'm 5'8" and 195, and have trouble with other products being too tight in the rear and thighs when I go with a large. I got the medium-stout and they are big enough to wear a couple of layers underneath.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Flyrook Agonizing decision worked out
After spending the winter trying to decide between all the big name and big price waders on-line, the Kennebec showed up. The features, price and warranty were inviting and after receiving sizing advise from LLB I agonized awhile before taking the chance. I've been out fishing twice in cold February central PA weather. Perfect fit, very comfortable, fleece hand warmer is nice, suspenders and new belt system are awesome. The agonizing decision worked out!

The only reason these get 2 stars is because of LL Bean's superior customer service. They are the best.
I am 6'2" and 210 Lbs. I have size 12 feet. I am a perfect fit XL in everything that bean sells. I had everyone in my family buy me Bean gifts and gift cards for Christmas so I could get new waders. I ordered them in January. Found it odd that the store did not have any in stock but oh well. When I got them my wife laughed at how big they were. The label said XL, but with good wind, I could fly away. I'm sure they were XXL's mismarked. Bean did their thing and got me a new pair quickly. The new pair was said to be hand picked. When I got them, the body fit perfect, but the feet were 2 different sizes (1 fit perfect and one too big). Bean did their thing again and sent me out a new pair.
This pair has 2 of the same size feet, but I'm convinced they are the feet from the XXL. There is way too much fabric bunched up in my boots now. These feet could fit up to a size 14 easy. It is very uncomfortable. My size shoe should be the big end of their XL footie. I am convinced that the waders have XXL feet. What a mess. I'm going to return these and think again of where to buy my new pair. If you didn't have the best customer service in the world, I would never shop with you again. My opinion of your merchandise took a big hit, but on the flip side your customer service is top notch. Half a win for you I guess

I haven't had a chance to officially test them out yet, but my first impressions are that this is a far more worthy successor to the original Helix waders than the Helix II model. The material feels more rugged and slightly more heavyweight than the flimsy Helix II. The padded shoulder straps are simple yet comfy, unlike the bulky padding on the Helix II which are just overkill. I really like the integrated velcro belt design and the light grey color is very appealing as well. I'm glad I returned my Helix II in unused condition and bought these instead.

Great fit! Great out on the stream and the new wader belt should be on all waders
