Ordered the dark indigo this year in wide because the ones I bought last year (saddle color in medium) were just a little narrow on me. I've never ordered wide shoes before, but hoped they would be ready to wear right out of the box without the break-in/stretch out period. Turns out the wide dark indigo shoes were narrower than the ones I bought last year. I also noticed the dark indigo had a different company's name on the bottom and the saddle ones from last year had LLBean on the bottom. So disappointed in these and that I have to send them back.

Received the shoes last week. Size 10 always fits me in other brands, but they were WAY too small. Too bad - the shoe is very cute and I would have otherwise kept them.

Despite negative reviews,I went ahead and ordered the cream with the brown trim in an 8 1/2 medium. I would normally order a 8 medium in loafers that I probably wouldn't wear socks with. Couldn't wait to wear these cute shoes when they arrived. I started out slow, hoping that the tightness around the toes and the ill-fitting heel cup would get better with time. Unfortunately I had to return them. Even wearing low peds, my feet rubbed the tops and sides around the toe area, and the heel was so uncomfortable, I could barely walk. The edge of the shoe just hit my heel in the wrong spot to be comfortable. These shoes are really cute, and if you can get them to fit your foot, you'll really enjoy wearing them.

Last year I bought a pair in coral. I found them very comfortable and wished that I had bought more colors. I didn't think that LLBean would still have them a year later, but checked. Low and behold, they still had them
I ordered a pair in field moss and saddle. They are comfortable right out of the box.
I wear a 9 or 9.5. In these, the 9.5 medium width fit perfectly.
I love these mocs!!

I normally wear a 9W, but after reading the reviews I ordered a 9 1/2 W. I am glad, because the 9 1/2 W fit well. A 9W would have been too short. I purchased the navy and am pleased with the quality.

I ordered the indigo and ice color in sizes10 and 11. They were all too big. But what was odd was the ice color shoes were even larger than the indigos within the same size. Regardless, the shoes are adorable and very well made, so I am ordering the peach color and another pair of the chocolate/ice in size 9 1/2. I am really hoping one of the pairs fit. Unfortunately, they are not at the deal of the day price that I ordered them at originally. BTW I am a size 10 in the boat shoes and size 11 in the skimmers. I would order Bean shoes more often but I just can't trust the sizing.

Even after having read the reviews about these shoes being narrow and short in the toes I decided to order them anyway. I figured what the heck, I have a narrow foot, they'll be fine. Well, they aren't. Even with a narrow foot there isn't any (and I mean any) wiggle room for my toes. They are wedged in the front of the shoe. I think they are really cute and made really well (and I actually like the bow detail, I don't find it to be "dorky" as one reviewer called it) but I think I have to send them back. It's a shame, I really wanted them to fit. Hopefully LLBean will have another similar (not too narrow) style of this shoe soon.

I have 2 pair of the original Grand Lake Moccasins, which are some of the best shoes I have ever owned. They fit the moment I put them on, and have retained their shape, but they are wearing out. I've tried twice to order replacements since LLBean tried to make these shoes more stylish - a move I applaud, by the way - but the new models are just much too narrow. I've had to return them. The "wide" is more like a very narrow medum in the original shoe. Please bring back the original sizing!

I originally ordered the medium width and had to return them because they were too narrow. The wide width in my size 9 1/2 were perfect. These are a great shoe but I really miss the original Grand Lake Moccasins with no bows - just plain and fabulous. I have the old ones in four colors and they are wearing out. These will have to do. Great shoe but the original Grand Lake moccasins were better. Since almost every review says that - is anyone listening at LLBean???
