Rated 4 out of 5 by kycountrygirl Runs Small
According to the size chart, I should wear a size medium. I wear between a size 10 to 12 petite. However, the belt runs very small. Although it stretches to fit, it is extremely uncomfortable. I am going to exchange for a large.

I was surprised at the look of this belt, even nicer than expected.
I wear pants below the waist and the medium was 3 inches shorter than my other medium belts. The large would be too long. I will keep this belt but would like more size options.

Rated 5 out of 5 by melyndak Belt stretches with you and keeps comfortable
I hate a belt that gaps when I bend over or gets stretched out over time. The great thing about this weave is it flexes with you and avoids any awkward gaps if you crouch or bend over. Also, it doesn't get stretched out from stress in one area over another - it stays looking fresh and in shape. I got the purple and i think that adds a nice feminine look to my jeans and the leather dresses it up a bit.

Rated 1 out of 5 by zebs sizing really awful
I originally ordered this belt in medium....and I couldn't get it around my waist....I subsequently read the reviews and discovered it really ran small.....so I exchanged (waited 6 weeks) and the new large belt arrived today.. It could now go around my waist twice! So someone needs to be on top of the sizing of these belts. It looks nice but not much use when it will be rare that it will fit.

Having searched high and low for a good-quality, non-bulky stretch belt I was delighted to find this one from L.L. Bean. It partners very well with pants that have some stretch.

Rated 4 out of 5 by BeansRegular Great except for size recommendations
This great belt reminds me of a belt that I inherited from my mom, who wore it in the 1940's--a wonderful, super-stretchy but solidly made stretch canvas belt with leather ends. This belt looks that good and is made in the USA!! The stretch fabric looks like heavy woven canvas, yet has a good amount of stretch. The leather ends and construction are high quality. My only disappointment is that the Bean's catalog recommended sizing up for gals who wear Favorite fit pants (which I mostly do), but that made the belt too large for me. I wear a size 4 always at LLBean, with a 25.5" waist and 35.5" hips at 5.7" and 115lb. I would have purchased the xs/s, but ordered the M and on the tightest setting I can slide it down past my hips to the floor while it is buckled with minimal stretching. The belt is of such high quality that I will be exchanging this ASAP for the smaller size. This is a must have for spring and summer outfits. If you are on the smaller end of the size chart, it is probably best to stay with your size even for the Favorite fit pants. Try this belt and I think you will love it too.

LL Bean belt is always very difficult to measure for the right size. I am 118 lb and 5?7? tall, and XS/S is just too short the fit for size 4 Saturday Pants, Corduroy Boot-Cut Straight pants. Has to exchange the belt to M.
