Good tool for what it is intended for. Is not a replacement for a pocket knife, but it is lightweight, ergonomic and great tool for hiking/backpacking.

This was a gift. Great design, love the clip but could not believe that there is no knife.

This tool is great because you can travel through airports with it. But it isn't too durable. The "bottle opener" broke the first time I tried to open a bottle, which means the carabiner is also broke and will no longer clip to anything. Also, the whole to put a keyring through is real small so it often gets caught on the keyring where the two ends of the keyring meet. While that doesn't pose a huge problem, it does often cause discomfort in my pocket when it gets stuck at an awkward angle. Overall, I recommend this multi-tool for basic daily use as long as you avoid using the bottle opener to preserve the carabiner.

I like carrying a multitool in my carry-on bag, but multitools usually include a blade or 2 so if I want to take a handy item like this I have to place it in checked baggage. When I found this TSA compliant multitool, I ordered it immediately. Leatherman quality at a fair price for just the item I wanted - what a deal!

This replaced a Leatherman Squirt plier tool. I carry this tool in a small pouch along with an emergency first aid kit, spare batteries for a small flashlight and my camera, and a few rolls of film (I still shoot film). All this fits into a small canvas camera bag along with my rangefinder.
The fit & finish of this tool is amazing. Satin-finished stainless steel; It's better than it's grown-up brothers. Closed, it measures 3 inches (about 7.5 cm). The tool has a precision set of plier jaws, a tiny flat-blade screwdriver/nail file & a small, strong and sharp pair of scissors. This tool also has a small tweezer w/an angled tip. You can attach the tool to an outside strap or key ring via a snap spring. The snap spring rests against a bottle opener. This tool is advertised as TSA compliant (yet to test this feature!).
I find when I'm out taking photographs that a plier tool has more uses. I'm not in situations where I would need a knife. Recently, a tiny piece of film broke off the roll and jammed in the camera. I used the pliers to easily extract the ripped film w/out damage to the camera.
This is one of those things that you don't know you need it until you buy it, and then you find you use it often.
