Rated 5 out of 5 by SFFan Good blade, great price
This is a nice somewhat heavy bladed but light jack knife. It opens and closes very smoothly and the blade is rock solid when open. It is very sharp and rugged, typical of Buck. The peculiar ring bottle opener actually works. The knife may be made in the USA but the blade is marked "China".

Love this knife, I got it in the mail in 2 days, really sharp right out of the package. Love the lock and easy open and close. Best knife I've had in a long while.

Sharp out of the box. Stays sharp after extensive use. Easy to sharpen. Fits well in the hand. Quick and easy to open. Good knife for the price.

Rated 5 out of 5 by ynot46 Easy to open, Solid blade and Very sharp.
Purchase one for myself and son, we were both very pleased with the way it opens with one hand and the solid feel of the handle,I have used this a lot cutting up boxes and it is still very sharp, I want to see how long it takes before I need to resharpen it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Safeinbelgrade A snap to open or close and it locks
Cool knive for handyman, hunter, personal protection or mushroom collector. Opens fast and locks in open or closed position.
It comes with a clip but it easily is displaced when hanging from your belt or pants pocket in dense brush or when leaning across something like a car fender, bed or wrestling with the kids.. Recommend buying a carbiner clip to make sure it stays put or carry inside your pants pocket.

I wanted a good carry knife that was larger than a small pocket knife but not too large and heavy. This is the ideal size, has a nice stainless clip, great blade and is super lightweight. Very pleased and would buy another. Another great item from LLBean!

I purchased the Red Point for fishing here in Northern New Mexico. I like the easy "one handed" open/close feature and the non-slip rubber coating on the handle. I carry the knife on my fishing vest with a Simms "zinger", which is very rugged, because the knife is somewhat heavy. My only compaint. The Flash Point knife might be worth a look also because of the carabiner ring which could be hooked to a "D ring" on most fishing vests.

Rated 5 out of 5 by A1LLBeanFan Great knife!
I bought this Buck RedPoint folding knife for light duty around the house and it's been a great knife so far. I've never owned a RedPoint before, but I have found that the opening mechanism is easy to use, opens up nicely and locks securely. The bottle opener is a little challenging to use, but I did get it to open a bottle. I might check out the Buck Flashpoint next since the bottle opener on that knife looks more rugged. The grip is worth mentioning; which it is very comfortable to hold and doesn't slip when your hands are wet. Overall, a great knife!

A knife for outdoor uses that opens and closes very easily when needed, belt clip is nice, I also like the partially serrated blade concept.

Very nice knife. Like the rubbery grip. And push release is nice as well. Would buy again.
