I have purchased many items from LLBean over the years, but this is one item that I have gone back and purchased many times in different colors. All in all I would say that I own 7 or 8 of these Comfort Fleece hoodies. I have used them as part of layering for winter sports, as a spring and fall jacket, for extra warmth in the house in winter, for sleeping on cold nights, and just about any other reason! These are the tops I grab for over almost all of the other fleece that I own! This fleece is equally super soft inside and out. It is stretchy enough to cause no restrictions in movement and to always keep it's shape, no matter how long you have it on. It does not attract static or pet hair. It washes and dries and comes out looking brand new, maintaining it's brilliant color for years. The side seam pockets are big enough to warm your hands and to hold a small wallet without it falling out. The hood fits well and stays up on your head without a drawstring. It has some of both wind-resistance and water-resistance, as I have noted during my many outdoor treks with this fleece as a top layer in windy or drizzly conditions. It also warms very well without making you sweaty. The full zip front makes it easy to pop on and off as the cools down or warms up--the tied sleeves even stay on your waist very securely. I have had no complaints or problems in the many years that I have owned all of these fleece. They have always been very consistent in size, despite slight changes in the design. The fit is semi-fitted with princess seams for shape, and is neither clingy nor loose and sloppy. The available colors have blended very well with clothing obtained from other brands. All in all, these are one of LLBeans' best fleece tops for women, and you would never go wrong ordering one (or more) of these!!!

I had high hopes for this. But, this jacket looks huge and boxy on me.... Although the fleece is very nice and thick.
Possibly this would look better in a smaller size; but this is just not flattering on me - returning!

I have this now in 3 colors. Keeps me nice and warm and I love the fit. The sleeves are not too long. I am 5 ft 3, 110 pounds, and get the XS.
I like the stretch in the fleece.

I needed a warm, lightweight, packable jacket for fall travel and ordered the comfort fleece hooded jacket. I like everything about it! It's simple without a lot of extras, and seems good quality.The slightly stretchy Polartec fleece is smooth, very soft, and thick enough for some warmth in moderate cold. It hasn't seen windy or wet weather yet so can't comment on that. The hood, while not adjustable, fits well and stays up. It is slightly peaked on top. The pockets are deep enough for hand warming and are not zippered. The pocket linings are done in a way that forms two open pockets inside. The zipper tab is small, but seems to work well. There is no storm flap. I usually need petites, but the jacket is a good length, covering most of my backside. The sleeves are a little long on me, as expected, but the wrists are self-lined so they can be turned back and still look finished. I haven't washed the jacket yet, but expect it will come through fine. No shedding at all so far.
I wasn't sure about colors, so I ordered the regular-priced island blue, and the sale-priced Baltic blue. The jackets, although offered on different pages, look identical except for color. The Baltic blue is a light soft blue as it appeared on screen. The island blue, however, is a richer, jewel tone turquoise-y blue, not the medium truer blue as it appeared on my computer. Both colors are pretty, and both fit the same (which unfortunately is not always true with some items). They fit well with room for a light layer. This jacket is a winner and may become my daily go-to jacket except in extreme weather.

This is by far the highest quality fleece I have ever worn! I love the soft pink color. This fleece is so lightweight you hardly feel like you're wearing it. Love it. Love it. LOVE IT.

I've have two of these for a few years and they're the most practical fleece I've owned. They're good for three seasons (northern US), and indoors and out. Great as a jacket in the fall and spring, and for layering in winter. When I'm running errands or shoveling snow they layer well with a warm vest, and they're comfortable for driving, and as a sweater indoors. Extremely lightweight, non-bulky, fits well and flatters. I forget I have it on. The hood itself fits just right, which is important to me since I actually wear my hood when there's a chill or a breeze. I took one as my warm layer when I went backpacking in Alaska last summer (where there was still snow in the mountains): with a windbreaker over it it's a regular winter jacket. (And my windbreaker is an LLBean Windstopper that works beautifully.) The fleece does not pill and is just now (after 2 or 3 years of heavy use) showing signs of wear. The cheap fleece I've bought elsewhere looks the same but after a couple washings and wearings I ask myself why I wasted the money. Bean fleece is the real deal. I'll be buying another one of these in black soon, even if they're not on sale as the first ones were. So worth it.

Bought this among several other items as presents,my girlfreind loves the fleece, she has worn it a hand full of times and washed it once. Even before it was washed it began to shed, I mean really so, to the point that the fleece is on her jeans, and its remants are on the furniture as well as the car upholstery. We were prepared to deal with that since she loved it. She had never really zippered it but, once she did she noticed that the zipper seemed to snag and catch not just occasionally but every time it was used. Zipper is also too small and chintzy. First time returing an LL Bean product for low satisfaction on quality or workmanship!. Thank goodnes for their return and full satisfaction policy, no matter what thats why they are who they are, they'll take care of it and make it right!

i have this jacket in black that i wear very often and have liked everything about it, so I wanted a lighter color for spring. I bought the "field moss" color thinking what a nice muted light green it was -- Be Warned!! It's really a pastel green like something out of an Easter basket, not at all what I wear, so I'm sending it back. If the color had been as represented, I would have given it 5 stars.

This jacket is exactly what I hoped it would be. I is true to size. It is lightweight yet warm and soft. The hood is large and useful.
I am pleased with this product and would recommend it to friends.
