They keep the chill out but don't cook me when the temperature returns to normal. The smooth texture of the silk prevents them from binding under jeans, cords, and dress pants. February 1, 2012

And if it turns out that the weather is not as cold as you anticipated, they still keep you comfortable. If weather is colder than you anticipated, you are still 'good to go'. They are easy to wash and they dry quickly. In fact I had previously ordered some silk tops for my New England college-age grandsons, and they love them - -for all the reasons listed above. They are really comfortable as they don't bind up as you turn over while sleeping as regular pajama bottoms do. Hand wash and hand dry to make them last longer, and keep your toenails trimmed!
