I love the corduroy big shirts, the sleeve length and body length are perfect for petite sizes.
But this is my first bad review for LL Bean.
I was expecting Mineral Red. When I opened the package yesterday I was so disappointed, the color is of an unripe watermelon. The color seems to be a rose/orange. Absolutely nothing red about it. The online color distinctly shows red, so this is pretty deceptive. I am going to keep the shirt only because it fits, and is warm for fall/winter months. Hopefully the color will grow on me.
LL Bean, you need to seriously take a look at this color you are advertising as Mineral Red.
I would still recommend this to a friend because of the quality and fit, but give caution about the color.

I loved this shirt/jacket so much I bought another. They are soft and cozy, very well made and warm, but not too warm! I love the length and the full size... fits perfect. I would love this in warm fleece or corduroy with open cuffs I could roll up... hint hint. The violet is beautiful and so is the tidal blue. Very impressed!

Just received the shirt and it's comfortable and fits just fine. My issue is that I ordered Poppy, and this shirt is clearly pink, not red. Call it Fuschia, Rose, whatever. Poppy is not the right name for this color. So, if you are looking for red, don't order Poppy!

Rated 3 out of 5 by WNCBeanGal Just a little off
I have loved the corduroy big shirts I bought several years ago, but I recently gave them away because they're too large now that I've lost weight. So I was eager to replace them with Medium size shirts, but the fit is just a little off. Perhaps today's shirt design or sizing is a little different than the old ones. The Medium fits me, but it just isn't as comfortable as I'd like, and the Large is way too big. I'm keeping it, but it isn't the same "go-to" shirt I remember from a few years ago.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Kattrax Great Shirt, but Wrong Color
I now have two of these shirts in a petite size. The fabric is soft and warm and the drape is nice, I get a larger size to layer over a turtle neck or pima t-shirt. My only complaint is that the colors I ordered both looked different than pictured--I ordered twilight, which looked like a medium-dark blue and it actually looks like a light teal. Then I ordered poppy, which looked like a cherry red, but it is actually a rose pink. I'm pretty particular about colors, so I'm not sure I'll order again.

I bought this corduroy big shirt for warmth this winter since I love the look and feel of corduroy. The color is beautiful (lavender) and it's very warm and comfortable. It fits on my shoulders, but is truly a big shirt. I like shirts that are tailored to fit a woman's body so it doesn't look like I raided my husband's closet. This doesn't fit that way so I sewed my own darts on the front and back and now it looks better. If I order one of these shirts again I plan on adding darts to make it look like a woman's shirt. Other than that, I love the shirt.

I ordered this Big Shirt in Tidal Blue. Love the pretty light-blue color. This is a generously sized shirt that's great by itself or with a t-shirt. We get some cold days in northwest Florida and this shirt is perfect for crisp mornings when the weather is nippy. The fabric is so soft, and the buttons are comfortably sized for fastening (some shirts have thin tiny buttons that are hard to fasten). If we had cold winters I would order more of these shirts in various colors because I can see them becoming a favorite item to throw on to beat the chill.
I've washed my shirt once so far and there was no shrinkage and the corduroy kept its shape and soft feel. Love this shirt.

So comfortable to throw on when it's a chilly morning for walking the dog. And nice for those cool evenings when at the winery . . . and I live in Florida! It will be just as comfortable when I head north . . .in the Spring! A year round must have.

I have purchased at least 6 of these shirts over the past couple of years, and they are comfortable, versatile, and attractive. When paired with an LLBean Pima cotton mock-neck, they are the perfect weight for fall and winter. I'm a teacher and never know if the school will be warm or chilly inside, but this shirt is toasty without being overly warm or bulky. The length is flattering (I'm 5"3"), falling just below my hips. I wear one almost every day; they are THAT wonderful.

I recieved my Tidal Blue Big Shirt this week. I was delighted with the color. As a matter of fact I have it on right now with some brown leggings and a cami so I am WAY Comfy!! I LOVE this color! It is a fresh bright blue green color. I also bought the deep Aqua teal which is a beautiful green color. ( it got some negative reviews but I love it!) I am so glad to see bright fresh looking colors. My daughter and I have several from last year..red, Colgate blue, plum rose, deep purple, wisteria, mint and we sent back sea glass and tidal teal because they were dull looking to me. I also have a lined one from this years collection in cobalt blue. It is beautiful as well. I agree that the arms do shrink up with drying so I wash in cool water and only dry them on low for a few minutes then hang dry. I wear a medium which is roomy for my 145 body , 5 71/2.. I highly recommend this item! Can't wait to see the spring colors! I would like to see this in a deep brown to go with my jeans and boots..maybe in the fall! Here's hoping! Thanks Bean!!
