Own several of these so when they go on sale I have no problem getting different colors. Just love them.

Rated 5 out of 5 by geoskimom The alternative to a cardigan or fleece jacket
I've been hunting for an alternative to a cardigan or fleece jacket and this is it! I've also been waiting years for the Corduroy Big Shirt to be on sale, so when I spotted the 2-a-day markdown I jumped on it. The fit is generous, fabric is thick, stitching and attention to detail is quality I'd expect from L.L.Bean. The fit is bulky--I normally wear a medium in LLBean tops and they aren't as wide as this shirt--but it is called a "Big" shirt. I ordered Poppy and was expecting a deep red. In reality, the color is closer to magenta (now that I zoom in on the computer screen I can see the pinker tinge to the sample that wasn't obvious when I placed my order), but I still like it a lot--enough that I'll be watching for it in additional colors. The only thing that would make it better would be a couple of side seam pockets for tissues, etc., and a button on the chest pocket for a cell phone. (I haven't washed the shirt yet but have worn it as an outer layer several times. We machine wash and line dry, so I'm hoping the corduroy will remain soft, though experience with corduroy suggests that it does better in the dryer.)

Rated 4 out of 5 by Glorycat Corduroy Big Shirt, great shirt...bad dye job
I ordered the big shirt in Med and Poppy color..
The shirt fit perfectly. I am 38 bust and 150 lbs..but the color is not
as pictured . It is not the rich red color of Poppy, but washed out medium rose. Disappointed !
Haven't decided to return it or not yet.

Rated 5 out of 5 by gg1995 My favorite shirt!
I bought this shirt a few months ago, and I love it! It's so comfy and warm - it's my favorite shirt and I wear it really often. It's roomy enough to wear another long sleeved shirt under it when it's cold outside. I've washed it at least 5 times and it doesn't seem like it wore out from it. The only thing is that the sleeves are just a tiny bit too short. I'm not bothered by it, but some people might be. If you are, the sleeves have buttons and can be rolled up, which actually looks great with the shirt. Usually I'm a size M in LL bean sweaters and coats (I'm 5'7", 150lb), but I bought a size S in this shirt and it fits really well, it's even kind of loose. So if you can't try it on, I would recommend sizing down.

I have 3 of these. I'm always waiting for what new colors come up. Colors are beautiful. Whatever the color, it's powdery, opaque and creamy. Fit is perfect. I'm not sure do I sound really easy to please or llbean.com just does it well all time, not just this product. And corduroy is rare. On one of the colors, it was a little different online, but when I got it, I liked it even better.

Rated 5 out of 5 by naturalfibrado improved even
Have had two unlined black shirts for years, which i love, though one ripped slong the corduroy strip by side slit, Bean's exchanged. I still happily wear them, my only issue was the sleeves were not quite long enough,
Just got a brand new light blue one this Christmas, and love it too, AND, the sleeves are longer and totally comfortable, no need to unbutton. Thank you for improving a good product.
One suggestion. Two breast pockets would be a nice addition for us ladies who prefer not to wear work harnesses (breast containment undergarments). But I am quite satisfied.

Love these shirts! Looking for unlined in black. The unlined shirts fit me better than the lined ones; they're less bulky.

This is a great shirt. Very warm worn with a cotton mock turtleneck under. Wears like iron. I've had mine for 15 years and they look brand new. I put them in the dryer. No wrinkles, no shrinkage. I prefer the unlined. The lined ones are very bulky. I am looking for unlined in basic black. I am petite, but I buy the regular length in this shirt to give me more coverage in the rear. The petite arm length was better, but the overall shirt was too short for coverage.
The fabric is thick, lush, and soft. Very comfortable.

Rated 5 out of 5 by NightBirdFarm runs very large but a great shirt
I have several of these shirts - both unlined and lined versions. The shirts are true to the description "big". I usually wear a M in Bean tops, and in this shirt the XS fits perfectly. So, when ordering for the first time, call the order line and ask for the chest measurement of the garment (not the size chart) to learn your true size in this shirt. After that, you can order with confidence. The fabric is great and launders well. As a side note: In the lined shirts, the flannel is very light weight and not a cozy brushed-style flannel.

This shade of pink is more what I would call a "buff pink", rather than actual pink. It is a little like a "light creamy beige pink", but definitely pink. Very soft color.
