Rated 4 out of 5 by rogun Nice pants, but wrong for me
These are nice pants, but they're just not for me. I believe they're the first pair of L.L.Bean pants that I've tried and I was pleasantly surprised by the modern fit.
The fit is trim, but not too tight. Unfortunately, I found the waist a little tighter then I like, even though they did fit well and I suspect most people will like them this way today. The inseam was surprisingly long, although it'll likely shrink after being washed. I normally have trouble with inseams being too short, so I'm not complaining about it being too long, but just putting it out there to let others know. The thighs were neither slim nor loose, but just right for me.
The legs were straight, so it's no surprise that they're not tapered. I actually wouldn't want them tapered, but I still feel like they're a little too loose from the knee downward. This isn't unusual for someone with thin calves like me, but don't expect them to have even a little bit of a modern, tapered fit.
Finally, I ordered the Dark Russet color and find it difficult to match. I like the color, but I find it difficult to find anything that goes well with it.
I'll also note that the canvas material is very nice. It's not real heavy, but it's still heavier then cotton chinos.
Overall, they're nice pants and I suspect many will love them, but I can't justify adding them to my wardrobe.

These are great pants, and I still want a pair.
Unfortunately, there is nothing to prevent the slider of the zipper from coming off the chain at the top. As you zip up, the slider comes right off the top. This was the case with two pair that I tried.
I think the zippers need to be improved. Once they are, I'll be first in line to try another pair.

True to size, solid stitching, quality fabric, comfortable--not much more one can ask for in a pair of trousers.

A fantastic pair of pants. I ordered one in each color. There is some slight variation in the length from pair to pair, but they all still fit well.

The fit and quality are good.
It is in fact a completely straight leg fit as depicted and described, meaning there is no taper at all toward the ankle. Personally, I will be having my tailor taper the calves a bit as I don't like the excess fabric around the lower leg. But otherwise I like these very much.

Returned. The fabric was very strange and cut seemed to be for tall person and pants simply cut down for 30 inch inseam. Quality not up to LL Bean standard.

These are the "go to" pants that you are constantly looking for. Look great with anything--comfortable fit without being too baggy. Just ordered my second pair. Well done.

The Canvas Cloth Pants are your do-anything, go-anywhere trousers -- I wear them all the time. The fit is tailored, yet comfortable. I am completely in love with the Currant color, and the Dark Khaki color is essential to complement your wardrobe. The latter also is a great alternative if you consider buying a new pair of chinos. Fabric is dense, yet breathable. A great addition to the Signature lineup -- I also bought the shorts instantly once I had tried on the pants.

I ordered these online thinking that they were similar to Dockers K-1 khakis from years ago.
They actually were pretty similar minus the button fly and the much too short crotch.
When LLBean says low on the waist, they mean it.

Great material and love the currant color. I'm really enjoying these and thinking about getting a second color. Only complaint is they're just a touch too baggy. They seem to run a bit big in both waist and length.
