The best part is they are made in the USA.

I have been a New Balance consumer for decades and have never been disappointed. They are comfortable, nice-looking (not too flashy); of course they are a bit expensive, but their quality is excellent and they're made in America! Although LL Bean didn't advise it this time, I ordered as usual the 9 size instead of my normal 8 1/2 size and they fit perfectly

This is my second pair of these wonderful shoes. I prefer American-made over the sweatshop variety. The problem is they're hard to find. And they're expensive. But this time, I waited for a 15%-off sale, then applied the credit that I've accumulated. Total purchase price - 42 cents! Not bad for a $150 pair of shoes.

These New Balance 990 running shoes are the best stability shoes I have ever used. Good ride, good fit, good for running or walking. A bit overpriced, but you can't go wrong with New Balance made in America shoes. Not as overall good as the New Balance motion control SL2 lasted running shoes, but close. Highly recommended.

I bought a pair from another store and returned it. I bought a pair from LLBean and it's on the way back to the return center. For some reason the stitching in the liner of the shoe that sits directly beneath the balls of my feet was uncomfortably raised and caused pressure points that I could not live with. I don't know what else is new with the 990 as compared to the 993 but I wish that the new ones were as comfortable as the old.

I have brought many pairs of shoes from LL Bean because I have a difficult time finding Wide EE shoes. I have yet to return any one of them; And these running shoes are no exception. Fit perfect, comfortable and great to run in. I run my treatmill everyday and I love them. Worth every dollar, not the mention 'Made in America"..

I Don't write reviews very often but I think this shoe is worth taking a moment to tell others how comfortable they are. Right out of the box I put my own insoles in them (very high arch) and went for a run they were comfortable and even looked good. I was a little sceptical at first because I heard they were not very stylish couldnt disagree more I think they look good. Best part is they are made in the USA.

Compared to most running shoes this shoe ranks among the best from the standpoint of quality of construction, support with better than average cushioning. This is my fourth pair and they keep getting more expensive, but I need the ee width. Recommend 1/2 size longer although this time they seem to be somewhat truer to one's regular size. This shoe is made in the USA which is a plus in my mind. I also like the more subdued look and design of the shoe as I find most of the current designs and colors to be garish.

This shoe is superb so far. from the moment i put them on there was no usual shoe break-in problem. they fit comfortably the first time i wore them and after several weeks and miles they have yet to produce a problem. i am very pleased and would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone needing a good pair of shoes. they are also extremely light.
