I do a lot of hunting. The Maine Pac Boots are ideal when sitting for long periods in cold weather in TN.

Rated 5 out of 5áby Esselpe I absolutely love these boots
I live in a temperate climate and was very worried about having good boots for a trip to Nome Alaska. These boots were fabulous. I was the only member of my group whose feet were never cold. I wore these boots 14 to 16 hours a day, continuously on snow and ice, in weather down to 30 below, every day for ten days. My feet felt great and the boots felt great.

This is only the second pair of Bean boots I've owned in over 30 years! Bean boots in general are wonderful and well worth the price. I chose pack boots this time instead of the regular Bean boots with felt liners. The tread on the sole is amazing! They should put it on all their boots.

Rated 5 out of 5áby MeagenB Wonderful boots!
These boots are everything that is described in the ad for the boots. When they arrive they are very "brand new" and may be a little stiff in the leather upper. Just by virtue of wearing them they will break-in. The insulation is amazing and VERY warm. I recommend low socks or a lightweight, wicking boot sock. My toes were toasty in the chilliest temps. I can't wait until the snow starts to melt so I can test them in the slush and mud....so far, no disappointment here!

I got these for my son who works outside at a ski area- he says they keep his feet warm & dry but could use a more comfortable insole

After limited wear, these boots are getting comfortable - stiff at first. They are definitely warm and the soles have good grip. They are heavy and the shoestrings are about a foot too long. They appear to be quite durable. I'll know in a few years!

áby fatpigbrand Killer Boots
These boots are killing my ankle and ripping the liner inside BECAUSE there is a rough seam sticking out right into your ankle and the liner. It is impossible to walk and liner already ripped only after one month of use. Please LL Bean do something about that killer seam inside the boot which sewed to the robber piece. That seam needs to be reconstructed or redesign so it will not stick out into peoples ankles .

Rated 2 out of 5áby Trixiedog Not my fit
These boots appear to be warm & the soles are excellent. However, I had to return them since they did not fit me at all. The top of the liner dug into my calf & the instep was very narrow, so I had difficulty putting them on. I normally order size 7 EE in the Maine hunting shoe which fits me very well. This was not available in EE so I ordered 8 M. I would recommend them only to someone with average to narrow feet and small calf (mine is 15 inch). The leather & liner are both stiff.

Rated 4 out of 5áby sjp523 Might be too big for women...
I chose the smallest size based on the sizing chart, but the boot was still too big--as in, it would easily slip off my feet. Wearing thick socks helps keep it on though. The boots were amazing and kept my feet warm while shoveling through mounds of snow and waterproof as well so my feet were dry.
All in all, they are perfect, and the design itself is cute--it's just a little too big. I wish LL Bean made this model for women, and have a narrower shoe.
