I love this flashlight - it suits my use very well. I had one for several years, and I decided to order two more while I can still get them, since I have discovered that more sources are moving toward headlamps and good hand-held flashlights are getting more difficult to find.
I like it because it is light weight and easy to hold in one hand. I find the light to be very bright when I need it, but it's also dimmmable. ( I find that I rarely use it on a dimmer setting - just haven't found the need.) I also like the magnetic feet. I've attached it to any number of metal surfaces to have a work light or even mild area light during a power outage. Every dark morning in the winter, I attach it to the side of my cast iron wood stove, shining the light into the loading door to rake out ashes and lay the kindling for my morning fire, before even turning on room lights.
I can't comment on batter life only because I don't pay that much attention. I have a digital camera that takes AA batteries, and when those batteries no longer have enough power for the camera, they are still good enough for the flashlight. I set them aside and have them at the ready when I think my flashlight is not bright enough.
A couple of times I have used the bendable legs to anchor it to something, but usually I just hand hold it or use the magnetic feet.
Overall, I find it very useful for my purposes.

Sometimes works sometimes does not. Cheap and not up to ll bean standards. Not a bright light . Very surprised ll bean sells this. I should have returned it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by rbneil Clever design, could be even better
I haven't used it a lot so far, but the unit seems well thought-out and designed.
Two suggestions for improvements: 1) the control knob should have more texture, so it would be easier to use with wet or greasy hands. 2) The light should be more of a flood beam than a spot. Using it as a work light, I'd prefer a wider beam pattern.

This is the 2nd one I have bought for my husband. He really likes this since it is magnetic and the light is bright.

Great idea. Use Gorilla Pods for my cameras. Unfortunately this flashlight was much too dim to be of any use.

Impressed with the magnetic feet and how well they hold. The bendable legs are a plus. I use this light camping and I'm smoking & grilling food in the dark after hunting; the brightness of the light is awesome.

Rated 5 out of 5 by queensabode2 He liked it!
My husband is a man of few words. When he receives a gift, he doesn't get all excited -- so there are times you are not sure if he liked the gift or not. Well, I got my husband a gorilla flashlight a few years ago and he brought it to work. He never said anything else about it, so I figured he brought it to work and it stayed, unused. This year, when asked for a "wish list" he wrote down "two gorilla flashlights". You can imagine my surprise, and our daughter's surprise as well. My husband is a mechanic for industrial equipment and apparently this light is extremely useful in "shedding" light in difficult to see places! Not only does my husband use the light, but the other mechanics "borrow" the light! So folks, if you are looking for a gift for someone who seems to "have everything" and he/she works in a situation where at times they need light in hard to reach places, look no more. Yes, I have ordered two more for this year! Again, was I surprised! LOL

Rated 3 out of 5 by ShopperInUS Novel but not Practical
I like the shape of this flashlight, which is kind of a novelty. It can stick to a flat metal surface without any issue, but difficult to make it stand and not handy to hold in hands. If you plan to use it in your tent or carry it around, I would not recommend it. But if you plan to use it in your car or near your car, this flashlight is for you, it can stick to any part of your car that is metal.
