Rated 5 out of 5 by 224436 Thanks for previous reviews
I recently purchased and received this blazer. Thank you to those of you that entered reviews on this product. You were bang on in your descriptions. I ordered a size smaller than I would usually, and it fits perfect. The label on the sleeve was a little time consuming to take off, but your comments made it that much easier. I love the fit and look of the blazer and am happy with my purchase.

Rated 3 out of 5 by my3boysmom beware of sleeve tag
I picked up my blazer today and was pleased with the tweed pattern, color, and fit. Before wearing it I had to remove the sleeve tag that stated the fabric is made in Italy. It took me 45 minutes of intense work to get the tag off without damaging the jacket fabric. I used a pin, scissors, razor blade, tweezers, and magnifying glass. I still have a 1/4" piece that I cannot remove out of fear. LL BEAN should know better.

Rated 3 out of 5 by mtbjane A good, but not great blazer
I ordered the charcoal in petite small. I am 5'2", 130 lbs, and 32D for sizing reference. The size small was a bit too large in the chest and shoulder, but wanted it loose so I can wear heavier layers. Normally, I would order an xs for a more fitted look with light layers. The sleeves are slightly long, but I roll up for a more casual look. The blazer is somewhat boxy, but going down a size may be helpful.
The fabric is very soft which is nice. However, it is too soft for a blazer and there is not enough stiffness. At the sleeve insert at the shoulder, the fabric tends to pucker. It makes the blazer look wrinkly. I know this may be picky, but it makes the blazer look "cheap" and not well constructed.

I purchase this blazer in the blue plaid in size Large. It was a little Boxy and the sleeves where too big. I had the sleeves altered, and the tag taken off. I am happy with it now, but it was expensive to alter.
I purchased the black plaid and the entire blazer just didn't fit right, the sleeve were OK, but the jacket didn't look good. I returned it. Also like the others it had the name tag was on the sleeve.

Rated 5 out of 5 by bonnie1b Excellent quality, Fabulous style, Comfortable
I am wearing this jacket for the first time today and have received 4 compliments already. This jacket is such quality and fit. It is truly a classic look. It is very comfortable and I expect to wear this for years to come.
I had a hard time picking the color I wanted and when this jacket came in and I saw the quality and fit, I immediately went back and ordered the other color.
Good job on this one LL Bean!

Rated 5 out of 5 by happymomof2 LOVE THESE BLAZERS!
I purchased the donegal tweed blazer in the vintage sage and deepest brown when a sale was going on. After reading some of the reviews that said it was too boxy, plaids didn't line up at the sleeves, etc., I was a bit skeptical. However, knowing I could return it without problem or cost, I ordered them and I'm glad I did. The colors are lovely, plaids line up perfectly and I don't find them boxy in the least . The wool is fairly soft but I think that if I wore something collarless it might be a little itchy on my neck. However, it is wool fabric and to be expected; I don't mark down for that. They are slightly fitted, as the description states, and have flattering lines. I am 5'5-1/2", 135, and a trim 59 years old and ordered them in small. I don't find the sleeves too large for my slim arms. The sage is a beautiful pattern and the colors will go with many things, very well with denim. The brown is a classic, perfect with a crisp white shirt. All in all, a good value for the money. I'm very glad I bought them and I'm thinking about ordering another if a sale comes up! Thanks, Bean!

Rated 4 out of 5 by BoughtThis Jacket, fabric and the label
Just received this jacket, professional look, great fabric, one of the best fitting jackets that I've purchased in a while, for a good price. The label took all of 5 minutes to remove from the sleeve. How? Under a very bright light, using a seamstress hook. This hook is used to quickly cut the individual stitches, and remove them. The hook is made of plastic with a metal cutting blade in the shape of the hook. Try JoAnn Fabrics for the hook. You can see the hand stitching on the top of the black label under the strong light. Simply cut each stitch completely through using the hook, the label will come off. Remove the lose black threads from the jacket sleeve fabric, top cut the remaining sleeve threads from the label stitching and you're good to go. The jacket fabric is intact and none the less for wear and tear from the label...

Rated 5 out of 5 by Nereid Amazingly Soft, Perfectly Warm
My only critique is that I'd like the fit to be a little more sculpted, and possibly a little longer (I'm 5'9, 150 lb and ordered the Small): other than that fairly trivial kvetch, this blazer is everything I could possibly want - and way more than I expected! It's beautifully warm and impossibly soft: I've owned tweed blazers before, and they were stiff sandpaper compared to this wonderful thing! Also, it's far more flexible than other tweeds I've owned. I love it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by cirquemom Sleeve Label issue resolved.
I just wrote a review and then read all of the others. Apparently the sleeve label issue has been resolved. I removed mine using a pair of embroidery scissors. There are about 7 or 8 stitches down each end. NO damage to the fabric of the jacket. So I suspect they must have read the reviews and changed how the label is stitched on.

I love this blazer, purchased it in Mallard Blue. Unfortunately the arm hole for the Misses L and the Petite were both 22" round, which was a little large for me. I had to have the arms taken in and they took off the strange label on the arm sleeve. Other than the arms the jacket is great for casual with jeans or dress up with slacks.
