I normally wear a 1X but this blazer has a size 48 waist and a 47 inch bust. I did like Black tweed but will back. I would have ordered an XL but they're out of that size. It is also way to boxy. I got it for 20% off which is too bad. I should have read the reviews!

I bought this in the beige plaid color - "deepest brown". It definitely runs a little large, and is a little boxy. But I didn't want a fitted jacket, and the extra room allows for a sweater underneath. I wanted this jacket to wear with jeans & riding boots, and it was absolutely perfect! The fabric is soft, and the jacket is very comfortable with a nice lining. All seams and buttons seem tight, and the jacket feels well-made. Removing the label from the sleeve took a bit of patience, and a strong pair of reading glasses to prevent snipping the wrong thread. Overall I'm very pleased.

Rated 2 out of 5 by MaggiGrace A great blazer is (still) hard to find...
I'm in a professional career that allows me to dress down, but often requires me to dress up for court proceedings.
"Suiting" seems a thing of the past, and I have searched high and low for great professional looking blazers at a fair price that I can wear with dark slacks ...still looking without much luck.
I ordered this blazer in a moment of exasperation. Shipping was fast (I paid extra)...
The nearly impossible to remove label on the left sleeve fabric declares "fabric Made in Italy" and the tag in the neck reads "Made in Vietnam".
That said... The other reviewers weren't kidding...that label on the sleeve...what the heck???? I spent 40+ minutes picking the darned thing off.
It is a "boxy" fit and a little short for my taste. I'm 5'9 and 58yo. The boxy isn't as bad for me at this stage of life but it would have been nice to have another inch or two in length.
I will decide whether to keep it or not tomorrow... In the meantime, if you readers find a realllly great blazer would you point it my direction?

Rated 5 out of 5 by Lindsay123 Great Look and Fit is Fabulous
Got the Blue and the Black - the former is prettier in person than on the site and goes very well with that blue plaid scarf Bean carries and some expresso brown slacks. As far as that pesky label goes, best to take the jacket to a tailor (dry cleaner level tailor is fine - it's who I use) and have them rip out the label with a good seam ripper. The size Large has sufficient chest room to accommodate more than a C cup and blouses and thinner sweaters work better.

Rated 5 out of 5 by snowshoe41 My best blazer in years!
This is one of 3 fabulous wraps I bought this past month from LLBean. Absolutely I want to review each of them. The blazer has very soft Italian wool. It fit me perfectly (medium-135 lbs, 5'5"). It allows one to wear it comfortably, even if your pants have a thick waistband/loops including a belt for casual wear with jeans. The tag on the sleeve is pesty to remove, but just get your manicure scissor and put on your glasses... I truly love this blazer and look forward to another one next year. It is the best fit and fabric I have had in a blazer for years, and I usually pay at least double this price.

Rated 4 out of 5 by UPLibrarian Donegal Tweed Blazer too large
I usually wear a medium, but this medium was just way too big. The shoulders are broad and not flattering for me and just too boxy. Thought about going down a size, but not sure that would change the look that much. I think I'll probably just send it back. Love the fabric and quality of the blazer and it's warm too! Also, found the same frustration as other posters, the label is sewn on the sleeve way too tight and too much work to remove it. Another reason to return! Sorry L.L. Bean--usually love your clothes.

I ordered this blazer in Charcoal Herringbone last year. I loved it so much that I decided to get another one this year. I wanted the Deepest Brown Tweed Plaid but waited too long and it was out of stock so I "settled" for the Vintage Sage but I am more than pleased with this selection. LL Bean arrives at my door within a few days of placing an order. These blazers are folded up and packaged in a plastic bag but are free of wrinkles and ready to wear. I find the sizing to be true and they fit like they were tailor made for me. The quality is outstanding and well worth the price. These blazers are so versatile that I wear them with skirts or pants to work as well as with jeans for casual.

Very disappointed with this blazer. The plaid does not match up on the seams. For the price of this blazer I expected much more. I will return this.

Rated 3 out of 5 by atina What were they thinking with this label?
I totally agree with all the complaints about the jacket and the label. I got hot, sweaty, and furious trying to get it off! It was sewn on so firmly that I kept wondering whether LLBean really intended for the wearer to be a crass advertisement, sporting that thing on the sleeve. I wasn't at all sure I was going to be able to get it off without ruining the jacket. I was planning to wear the jacket the next morning, and I ended up going to bed 45 minutes late and too annoyed to go to sleep. I don't think the tailoring of the jacket or the fabric are worth the price; I kept the jacket because there was no going back after removing that horrible label - although I should have returned it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Megabahu Sleeve Lable a Nightmare!
I was so excited to get this blazer for my birthday. It's nice and comfy, not as structured as other blazers I have. Love the color (got the Cherry). But Jiminy Crickets, the label on the sleeve is a nightmare to get off. Stitches are tiny, sewn tightly, hard to get a seem ripper underneath- had to use an exact-o blade! Even if I was careful not to cut the jacket, when I went to pull the black thread out it ended up pulling the thread of the weave structure of the jacket. Frustrating!!! I swear it took me 30 mins to get the label off. Love except for the sleeve label.
