Rated 1 out of 5 by Devora The tag on the outer sleeve does NOT come off!
I know this sounds lame and I ignored the reviews making the same complaint, BUT it IS impossible to remove the stitched black tag from outside the sleeve. I sew, so I thought it would only take some painstaking work, but no. After an hour of trying to carefully remove the unnecessary black tag, I discovered that the fabric underneath it, which is very soft, tore in the process. WHY, WHY, WHY does LLB allow the manufacturer to sew a black tag on the outside of the sleeve, double stitched in black? You couldn't wear the jacket with this tag on, and it is impossible to remove it without tearing the jacket fabric. I bought two of these jackets on sale and they are both going back because I can't wear it with the tag on and I refuse to pay for a torn jacket. Such a shame.

Rated 4 out of 5 by AnnaM follow the LL sizing chart
Jacket is really nice in Olive, looks as good as the catalogue pic. it's roomy, something I will wear with jeans and a light sweater. I normally wear size 4, or Small, and didn't reference the sizing chart first. Definitely should have gotten the XS the first time around!

Rated 5 out of 5 by yourmajesty Classic fit and look
Just what I was looking for. This jacket is nicer in person than in the catalogue or online. It is a substantial weight but not so heavy as to make you think you're wearing a coat. 47% wool, 33% nylon, 19% silk. It is soft but not baby soft. The sleeves are tailored like a mans suit sleeve. A very unexpected surprise, I am 5'6", 160 lbs. and I wear a large. Fits very nice, slim, and on the low side of a Bean large. The tag on the sleeve is not an issue. A good seam picker will do the job of removing the tag quite nicely. I don't know what all the other reviewers where whining about. I highly recommend this blazer in the chalky teal colour. Very classic. A good all around blazer and worth every cent. I am very pleased with my choice. 2 thumbs up Mr. Bean.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Shelly1961 Super Versatile Jacket
I bought this jacked in gray and loved it so much that I purchased it in teal, as well. I'm 5'6", size 10, curvy, and short wasted. The *Medium* fits me perfectly. It hits just about mid-rear end. The shoulders are perfect and it fits my curves even when buttoned. I usually wear a blouse or knit shirt under it. Not sure if it would fit as well with a heavier shirt underneath, but I don't need that much warmth! Both colors--gray and teal--are neutral enough to go with just about anything. It's the perfect weight to wear to and from work in the DC spring air.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Ivyboo Sage is definitely green!
My monitor makes the sage look more gray, but it is definitely sage in person. The fabric is really nice. The fit-I was on the fence about ordering an XL, which is what I wear normally, but ordered the XL anyway. It fits properly and I am able to wear a button up shirt under it. The fabric label...wow! They really want you to work at taking that thing off. I used a seam ripper and a pair of embroidery snips (very carefully) and it took me a good twenty minutes to remove it. Keeping this blazer and would buy another if this plaid came in gray.

Rated 2 out of 5 by RottieMom Too huge
I normally wear a 1X but this blazer has a size 48 waist and a 47 inch bust. I did like Black tweed but will back. I would have ordered an XL but they're out of that size. It is also way to boxy. I got it for 20% off which is too bad. I should have read the reviews!

Rated 5 out of 5 by FlipperJD Perfect Jean & Boot Jacket
I bought this in the beige plaid color - "deepest brown". It definitely runs a little large, and is a little boxy. But I didn't want a fitted jacket, and the extra room allows for a sweater underneath. I wanted this jacket to wear with jeans & riding boots, and it was absolutely perfect! The fabric is soft, and the jacket is very comfortable with a nice lining. All seams and buttons seem tight, and the jacket feels well-made. Removing the label from the sleeve took a bit of patience, and a strong pair of reading glasses to prevent snipping the wrong thread. Overall I'm very pleased.

Rated 2 out of 5 by MaggiGrace A great blazer is (still) hard to find...
I'm in a professional career that allows me to dress down, but often requires me to dress up for court proceedings.
"Suiting" seems a thing of the past, and I have searched high and low for great professional looking blazers at a fair price that I can wear with dark slacks ...still looking without much luck.
I ordered this blazer in a moment of exasperation. Shipping was fast (I paid extra)...
The nearly impossible to remove label on the left sleeve fabric declares "fabric Made in Italy" and the tag in the neck reads "Made in Vietnam".
That said... The other reviewers weren't kidding...that label on the sleeve...what the heck???? I spent 40+ minutes picking the darned thing off.
It is a "boxy" fit and a little short for my taste. I'm 5'9 and 58yo. The boxy isn't as bad for me at this stage of life but it would have been nice to have another inch or two in length.
I will decide whether to keep it or not tomorrow... In the meantime, if you readers find a realllly great blazer would you point it my direction?

Rated 5 out of 5 by Lindsay123 Great Look and Fit is Fabulous
Got the Blue and the Black - the former is prettier in person than on the site and goes very well with that blue plaid scarf Bean carries and some expresso brown slacks. As far as that pesky label goes, best to take the jacket to a tailor (dry cleaner level tailor is fine - it's who I use) and have them rip out the label with a good seam ripper. The size Large has sufficient chest room to accommodate more than a C cup and blouses and thinner sweaters work better.

Rated 5 out of 5 by snowshoe41 My best blazer in years!
This is one of 3 fabulous wraps I bought this past month from LLBean. Absolutely I want to review each of them. The blazer has very soft Italian wool. It fit me perfectly (medium-135 lbs, 5'5"). It allows one to wear it comfortably, even if your pants have a thick waistband/loops including a belt for casual wear with jeans. The tag on the sleeve is pesty to remove, but just get your manicure scissor and put on your glasses... I truly love this blazer and look forward to another one next year. It is the best fit and fabric I have had in a blazer for years, and I usually pay at least double this price.
