Have worn New Balance for years due to long narrow foot.
Regrettably these shoes have a very stiff edge to the tongue which bores into my ankle. Tried several times to see if it would soften, but to no avail.
Therefore I have returned them.

Rated 5 out of 5áby Experiencedcustomer Spaceious, wonderful coushioning, very confortable
These shoes are great, I purchased them in wide to allow fit for my bunions and they also have a high instep and high toe box plus a narow heel. There is plenty of room to wear my orthoptics without removing the insoles. This allows me to get the full benifits of all the coushioning. I put them on and have not taken them off and they are waterproof. I have ordered a second pair due to arrive tomorrow. I have a high arch, hammer toes and bunions and love to walk these shoes are perfect.

I read the reviews and the site suggestion to buy a size larger. So I ordered a 10D. They were so large my feet came out trying to walk in them. To tell how large they were I ended up keeping an 8.5D pair. My running shoes are 10D and my regular shoes are 9.5D. The only negative is in the NB design. The heel sides are a little to high for a women's foot. Almost like the tried to just label a men's shoe as a women. I put a heel wedge in and it raised my foot enough that it doesn't rub my ankle bone when walking. I was wanting a leather shoe with no vents to ride on the motorcycle (my feet get cold with air going thru) and still be able to walk trails without changing shoes. Finally found these.

I bought these walking shoes because they came in an AA size. My feet are very narrow and thin and with my ortho liners they are very warm and fit my feet. I walk every day for 45minutes continuously and they are great!! I would recommend them to any
woman who has a narrow foot. Just follow the advice of ordering a
half size larger than what you normally wear.

I think these shoes are very well made. Fit very nicely. I did return them and the reason I did was because this shoe in a ladies size 9 looks masculine. It's just too much......Too Brown, Too bulky......Wish the same great New Balance features were on a shoe that was a little more streamlined.

I thought these shoes would be great for walking in the fall and winter because they are waterproof. I usually take a medium width. Unfortunately the left shoe pinched my baby toe. So I sent them back. Fit is everything to me. So disappointed.

Rated 5 out of 5áby Alaskan4ever Not good on frost, snow and ice
I can't wear these when there's snow, frost or it's icy out. It's great for summer hiking long trail walks, etc. It's very comfortable, I may buy another pair.

Rain expected today. Will wear these walking the streets of Manhattan with comfort. New Balance gives me good room in the toe area where I need it. Wish they came in black.

For me,the collar of the shoe was bulky and too snug. With each step - roll of the foot forward - it felt as though the there was a drop off or lack of continuous padding under the ball of my foot. I have been wearing New Balance 993 for several years which I am very pleased with.
I have returned these shoes.

The only shoes I wear are New Balance shoes, and in most respects these did not disappoint. I loved the look, they were sturdy and light, and were extremely comfortable for my feet. But I have to agree with another reviewer that the tongue came up way too high for me. After wearing the shoes in the house for a couple of hours, I had a painful spot just under my ankle bone on both feet. I reluctantly returned them.
