Good value, excellent fit, not "klunky" like some gloves. Easy to handle objects, weatherproof

I have a pair of these gloves that I bought a few years back that fit me so well so when they started to wear out I didn't even shop around for a new style, I just got myself another pair. But they have made a few changes that I am not happy about. First off, they made the fingers about a 1/2 inch shorter and the thumb a full inch shorter - not a huge deal breaker but since I have long fingers, finding a women's sized glove that fit me was a huge reason I bought them and returned for another pair in the first place. My other complaint is that they don't keep my hands as warm as my previous pair. By the end of a dog walk tonight in 28 degree weather, my fingertips were freezing. One of the things that I do like about these gloves is their over-all length which allows for your sleeve to go over the cuff of the gloves so no cold air can enter. I will probably keep them just to wear during the fall or spring or just around town but they are useless if you are outside for any real length of time in the winter.

I was so excited to have these gloves to wear on cold day walks, bike rides and for cross-country skiing, but I had to send them back. The hands and fingers fit almost perfectly, maybe a teeny bit short on the thumbs and they were really warm with good mobility and curve for gripping and poleing. But, the wrists were so incredibly tight, I couldn't put them on in a hurry and once on, they were really uncomfortable on the wrists. I would have loved to try a medium- but they were sold out. I was so surprised these were so tight since my wrists are really small - the same size as my smallish 9 year old son.

These gloves are extremely comfortable and lightweight. The first time I tried them on I did some shoveling. My fingers became cold immediately in 35 degree weather. These gloves do not stand up to any amount of dampness. I tried cross country skiing in 30 degree weather and was not satisfied as my fingers were cold in about 10 minutes. I will use these as "going to work" gloves.

I don't know what the temp rating would be for these gloves, but after having bought them last year with high hopes they would keep my hands warm, I regret my purchase. It's 21 degrees today. I just came in from a 10-minute walk with the dogs and my fingers are numb from the cold after having worn these gloves. They are very comfortable and look great when first putting them on, but they are completely ineffective when it comes to cold weather. I was surprised and plan on finally returning them.

Stylish, too! I bought these for my fiancée and she says they are extremely warm.

Rated 5 out of 5 by New2NewEngland The gloves are lightweight
I have not had to wear these gloves for winter weather, but can state they are light weight and very flexible. I like that I can easily grip poles. The best feature is how long the gloves extend up my arm. It is hard to imagine snow ever getting into them.

Great gloves...comfortable, keep my hands warm on the XC Ski trails! Love the extra padding on them as well.

I ordered these gloves specifically for cross country skiing in NE PA. I really like their flexibility and they are very comfortable. However, I did find that my hands got cold at temps around 15 degrees Fahrenheit. This was a little disappointing but overall I really like the gloves and LL Bean products in general.

Rated 4 out of 5 by LLBeanfan67 works for me
My old LLBean cross country ski gloves finally wore out after 20 years. These replacements work for me. They are warm which is important in Colorado in the winter. They are also flexible. The only problem I have is that they are tight when I pull them on but they feel great once they are on. I can live with that.
