I was initially very happy with the two (green and orange) of these I purchased. It is a nice lightweight fleece for a moderate Georgia winter. Unfortunately, after two washings the orange fleece shed all over my car while driving to work. My shoulder and waist seat belts were covered in fleece. When I got to work, I found my seat was also covered in fleece. It continued to shed all day long at work. I've never had this happen with any fleece clothing before. I haven't worn the green one since then because I'm afraid it will do the same thing.

I like the shape and the exterior is soft fleece, but the interior (not fleece) pilled with washing.. The interior was adequately soft before washing, but isn't very comfortable now.

I have several of the zip neck and full zip fitness fleece, all of which I wear over shirts due to the smooth inner surface of fitness fleece. I have this type of fleece from LLBean from over 10 years ago give or take, and that fleece is still thin, but is fleeced on both sides, feels wonderfully soft next-to-skin, and is really warm (but never too warm). LLBean please listen to all the reviewers who are begging for this and bring back the fitness fleece that is fleeced on both sides!!
I also have a suggestion regarding the arm pockets--and I use these fleece for fitness and casual use--get rid of them! In other fleece, you do wonderful invisible zippers in the side or princess seams, and that would seem to be the best solution in this case. That would allow this t-neck fleece to be used for fitness and casual work situations. I agree that a scrunchneck fleece in basic colors worn over, say, your weekend pants would be a lovely and classy work outfit (but only if the arm pocket moves to the side seam).
Now to review this scrunchneck fitness fleece. It fits true to size, if not just a bit generous in sizing--not enough to size down though. The neck is wide and loose enough to not bother my neck at all (and most T-necks do bother my neck), yet it scrunches very nicely and looks very good. The body is long and drapes well. I have washed several of these, on cold, with just a 10 min spin in a warm dryer to get rid of lint and hanging on the line for the rest. I have had no shrinkage and the fleece looks brand new.
As long as one is willing to wear a t-shirt under this fleece, it is a great one for lightweight warm. With the above mentioned tweaks, this fitness fleece scrunchneck would be a classic with a total 5-star rating across the board!

Since I have purchased three, I definitely like the scrunchneck. It's not too warm, soft, and fits really well. I don't mind the fact that there is no fleece inside. Please, however, take off the pocket on the sleeve! Or, at the least, give the option of NO pocket.

Rated 5 out of 5 by CowgirlPixie Soft, warm, lightweight, and oh so comfortable!
I bought 3 of the solid scrunchneck fitness fleece shirts in cayenne, ivory, and deepwater blue, all in a medium. I am 5'6", 135 lbs., busty, with a long torso. These fit me beautifully. The length is lower hip, and they are nicely fitted, not boxy at all. My arms are 29", so the sleeves are a little long, though not so much that it bothers me, but I push the sleeves over my elbows for cooking anyway. The sleeves do not stretch out of shape from pushing them up like that. The fleece is a perfect weight to keep me warm without overheating, and it layers well under LLBean's Big Shirt. The deepwater blue is really a dark teal, and is a beautiful color. The cayenne is the color of fresh cayenne, very pretty and intense. These wash nicely and if you dry them on low like it says to do, shrinkage is not a problem. These are wonderfully comfortable. I really love to wear them, especially with a Big Shirt! These have quickly become a favorite. Others have complained that these aren't fleece inside, too. They would not layer if they were, and would probably be too heavy. I like them just as they are! They keep me comfortable with our cold Wyoming winter and howling wind. Thanks, LLBean!

Rated 5 out of 5 by celest Nice comfy top
This top is very comfortable and fits nicely--not too tight or fitted nor too large or oversized. It is just right. After receiving the red, I immediately ordered two more of these shirts in black and ivory. By the way, the red is sort of an odd dull cherry color. It is not really fleece because it is too light for real fleece. I don't know what you'd call it, but it feel wonderful, and I can tell it will last forever.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Parkave great fit and feel
this shirt fits me well, I have a longer torso and it is not short. It is soft warm and easy to wear. I have washed it several times but hang up to dry. It does not attract dog hair either.

I was very disappointed in the feel of this top. As soon as I put it on, I felt COLD, due to the inside being smooth cool fabric, not fleece. I looked at the fabric tag, since it felt like nylon. If this top had fleece inside, it would be a nice top. I don't like the pocket, since I would wear this to work, the pocket makes it too sporty for work. I hope the pocket is removed and the fleece is on both sides next year!

Rated 3 out of 5 by Gardenbzzz Another Disappointment
Fleece is very lightweight. My old fleece scrunchy was soft and warm on the inside. This one is cold and silky next to your skin, not what I want in the winter. Also, cut very large despite "slightly fitted" designation. Sleeves too long, similar to the turtlenecks I've ordered this year.

Rated 4 out of 5 by tennfarmchick Love the Style/Wish it Was Soft Inside
I was so excited to see a scrunchneck fleece...I love that I can just pull it on and be ready to go. I liked the fit, but like some other reviewers, I missed somehow that the fitness fleece is not soft fleece on the inside. What a disappointment! Instead of feeling cozy when worn alone, the inside is smooth. I don't mind the pocket on the sleeve, but it would probably be more versatile without it. I would imagine that more people than usual wear this for casual or work rather than running. Mainly I just wish it was fleecy on the inside :)
