Rated 5 out of 5 by LLBeanFanofGoretex Very warm, comfortable shirt for winter months
I love this shirt!! I have looked at these on L.L.Bean's website for a couple of years now. I finally ordered one a couple of weeks ago. I ordered the red in a medium. I usually take large tops and size 12 L.L.Bean slacks. But with the relaxed fit, I am finding that mediums work best for me. I am 5'6" and this way the sleeves are just the right length and the shirt is not too boxy. I did the same thing last year regarding sizes with the fleece big shirts. Size medium in those also fits well and I can comfortably wear a tee under both the fleece big shirts and the lined corduroy shirts. I can't say enough good things about this shirt. I tried it on when I bought it, washed it, and tried it on again. Perfect fit and no shrinkage at all. Lovely, warm, and very comfortable. I'd like to get another one but they are all sold out. I will definitely have my eye on them for the rest of this season and if I can't get another this yr., it will be one of my first purchases next fall!! Beautiful!!

This is a perfect shirt for a chilly night. Might order one in the other color! Soft inside and out, perfect fit. One of the best purchases I have made from LLBean in a long time!

I ordered the XL in misses. I am just going to say it. I have big fat upper arms. I almost always have to buy a non stretch shirt to fit my upper arms which often puts me into the plus sizes. This makes the rest of the shirt swim around my waist. I am very hour glass with large breasts and hips. I am a bigger girl. I wear a size 14 jeans but up to a 2X in tops because of my fat upper arms. For this reason I prefer sweaters and cotton/spandex tops. But this fits like a dream. I am 5'6" and the sleeves are on the long side. The sleeve edge hits the middle of my hand covering the top joint of my thumb. I have average length arms and never have a problem with long sleeve shirt lengths. I live in the pacific north west and needed something for the chilly weather that could be easily layered and that I can comfortably drive in. I hate big jackets that I can not comfortably drive in. As long as this does not shrink it is perfect. It buttons up around my breasts and does not pull. I am a 38DD and it does not pull open at the the bottom from my hips either, as I said I am a full hip size 14 bottom. It fits like a dream. I love the soft lining. I will be looking for more jewel colors. I am 42 and have let the silver hair grown in. I like vibrant rather than muted colors I got the royal purple and its a great color for winter and early spring. I shared my sizes very specifically for anyone questioning which size to get. This is my first online order so I had no idea what to expect. I will be buying more!

I returned this shirt recently because it looked boxy on me, but I think a lot of women would like it. It certainly feels cozy. I am 5'8", 155 lbs. and take a medium.

I am wearing my Comfy shirt as I type this review! I originally bought this shirt in Coral Rose because it was the only color available in my size. I wear a medium. (i am 5'71/2 and 145 with thin broad shoulders and a 36A bust). I had already bought myself the unlined version of this shirt and love it./them. I ended up buying several of them even though the sleeve length was an inch shorter than I would like. Didn't notice that until I wore one with a long sleeve tee shirt and it poked out a good 2 inches. When I received the Coral Rose it was really big on me compared to the unlined version, especially around the chest and hips and I didn't really love the color so I sent it back. In the mean time the Lake Blue color in medium became available so I bought it expecting it to be big but sense I am not buying it for fashion but for comfort, that was ok with me. Much to my delight the Lake a Blue medium was much smaller than the Coral Rose, mush like my unlined ones, and the sleeve length is a bit longer too..double bonus. I am giving it a 4 star rating due to the inconsistency in the sizing. As for warmth, it is a little bit warmer then the unlined. I am wearing it with a cami and am very comfy and warm. And it's not as bulky as my fleeced line flannel shirt that I just got today! Love me some Bean:-)

I purchased this shirt in the spruce color and the color is absolutely gorgeous. I've already received a number of complements on it from friends and from strangers. It is not warm on a really cold day by itself, as the flannel is nice bit of "polish" for the shirt rather than a true layer of warmth. This shirt is meant to be an over-shirt. When pared with a thermal shirt or a Henley it handles the North Georgia chill well, without having to wear a coat or heavy jacket, which I hate. I wished I had ordered another one, as the colors are so pretty.

This lovely shirt shrunk a little in the laundry, possibly because the flannel lining shrunk. It is not flattering on me, so I will send it back.

Soft and warm without being hot or bulky. Pretty colors, too. Sized down to a 1X which fit perfectly except for the unusually SHORT sleeves. These are close to 3/4 length sleeves on me. Please add at least 3" to the sleeve length and this shirt would be perfect. Love the easy care--wash 'n' dry without shrinking or fading.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Taotaosmom Comfy wonderful shirt
I just love my Big Shirt. The "flannel" lining is very light and not very fluffy, but that is ok as it isn't then too bulky. It is super super soft and comfortable and if it had a hood I would never take it off.
I did find that the edge of the seam of the collar has frayed out where it is sewn, after about six months, and might have exchanged it, but mine is black, and it appears that no black is on offer anymore.
So I am living with my slight fraying, and hanging onto this, one of my favorite fall, winter and spring pieces of clothing.
The new colors are pretty, but please LLBean, not all of us want teals, purples and pinks. I wish you'd offer colors like black, red, navy blue... primary basic colors that are less "in this year, out next year". Please. As this is just such a comfy shirt and I'd like another.

Rated 4 out of 5 by EcoMa Comfy but not real stylish
Its big and its comfy just as its name says. I'm 5'4 108 and bought the XS in the green. It fits like an old, oversized shirt. Its really soft and warm. The color is not as deep and vibrant as I expected, more of a velvety, faded spruce green. It seems well constructed. I think I'll mostly be wearing it around the house or for doing yard work. Its not going to make me look like the most fashionable mom at the school. I picture myself feeding chickens and gathering eggs in it. It sure is comfy though. It would be nice if it had side pockets.
