Rated 5 out of 5 by appalachiangirl Typical LL Bean Quality
I ordered four of these sleeping bags for my grandsons for Christmas. The quality of the fabric is top notch. It is exactly what I expected in an LL Bean sleeping bag. The zippers move well, and I am impressed that there is a velcro tab at the top that holds the bag so all of the pressure isn't on the top of the zipper.
Some reviewers didn't like that the carrying bag is larger than the sleeping bag. I don't see that as a problem at all. In fact, I like the fact that it is larger, because I can never get a sleeping bag rolled up as tightly as it originally was, and I think having the larger storage bag will make stuffing it a lot easier. Plus, there is room to add a small pillow in the carrying bag with the sleeping bag. I like that.
The only thing I would change would be to monogram the sleeping bag itself, as well as the storage sack. I can see that having four identical sleeping bags may be a problem when they all come to grandmas. But I'll figure out something to identify each bag. I am very, very pleased with this purchase, especially when I compare the high quality of this bag with the bags of lesser quality that I have seen in other stores. These bags look like they will be around for years of fun times!

Rated 5 out of 5 by ran7ger Perfect for grandson
I spent more time online looking for a youth sleeping bag lined in flannel this year than any other gift I bought. They seem to be hard to find. This is just what I was looking for, and my 7 year old grandson loves it. No more "Cars" or "Buzz" toddler sleeping bags for him. He feels all grown up with his big boy bag and the black and red lining is just perfect.

Rated 5 out of 5 by MRW01 My son LOVES it!
The only problem with this sleeping bag is getting my son out of it! This was one of his three years birthday presents and he's been sleeping in it for naps and bedtime ever since he got it. It's the perfect size for him and I guess will last him about 3 to 4 years until he grows out of it. It's very warm and cozy and the zipper seems pretty tough. The hook and loop flap at the top of the bag does a great job keeping it closed and the zipper up. Overall, an excellent bag that he'll outgrow before destroy, which, to be honest, is saying a lot.
Some people in the reviews were disappointed that the tie straps are not attached. From a toddler safety standpoint, I prefer that the straps are not attached, particularly with a younger sibling around. Also, as stated in other reviews, the stuff sack is a bit larger than the bag, but this also makes it easier for kids (who aren't as strong or dexterous as adults) to cram the bag in. All in all, A good purchase and I'll probably be buying another one in a few years for his brother.

I order four sleeping bags for an impromptu camping trip. Received the bags in two days, and they were warm and very comfortable. Will be using these a lot in the future. Thanks for the quick service and a great product.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Purpleapple Nice kids sleeping bag but a few drawbacks...
We purchased the kids sleeping bag in pink (rated for 40 degrees). I got this because: my 3yr old girl is a pinkaholic and my husband wants to go camping. I have just taken it out of the box and already a couple things seem ill thought out.
The ties are not attached to the sleeping bag at all. They are lose so you are much more likely to lose them.
And finally the stuff sack is the same size as the adult stuff sack so there is at least a 2-4 inch buffer all the way around when the sleeping bag is tied and in the sack. Stuffsack is useless then. I would have to buy another for it to actually be functional.
And it's only rated for 40 degrees. I would like it's temperature rating to be a bit lower than that. Will also have to get a liner. All this is adding up for a rather expensive sleeping bag. So buyer be informed!

Rated 3 out of 5 by zenbrain Few problems with it...
First, we own two of the adult 20 degree flannel-lined sleeping bags and absolutely love them. I ordered this one for my toddler (the Lapis Slate color is pretty), but was disappointed in a few things: (1) It's only available in the 40-degree style instead of the 20-degree, which I find to be to thin for early fall camping. Will need to pack extra blankets. (2) The ties actually tie instead of clipping like the adult ones. Annoying. (3) The storage bag that it comes with is the ADULT size one, and the kids' sleeping bag is WAY too small for the big storage bag. I know it sounds strange to complain about a stuff sack being *too big*, as you're always fighting to get them in, but trust me ? this one is huge!

Rated 5 out of 5 by whatsinaname Grandson loves it!
I purchased this sleeping bag for my grandson a few years ago. He loved it as a 5 year old and still loves it as an 8 year old. We've used it for summer tent camping, as a comforter on the bed, and for "camping" on the floor at home. It's soft inside with good cushioning. It's also nice and roomy with lots of wiggle room. It's durable and holds up well; it looks as good as it did when I bought it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by PortlandCoast My toddler loves it
This sleeping bag will undoubtedly last many, many years. My (almost) 3 year old crawled inside it and played with his toys on the floor. He didn't want to get out. Loves it! Soft inside, well made outside, looks great after first washing (better than when we unpackaged it actually). Highly recommend.
