I love this jacket in terms of its quality and its overall look, but for my build and perhaps my style preferences, it is a loose fit! I am early 30s, 5'75", 130-135lbs, hourglass shape. I tried the Misses Regular size 4 and then the Petite size 4. The Petite size improved the fit, but it was still somewhat loose in my mid section/arms and I didn't like the shorter body length in the petite. So, because I got the jacket on sale and because it is very nice quality, I kept the Regular 4 and took it to the tailor to have the body and arm bulk taken in and it looks great now. If this fits you to your taste, then it is a super nice jacket...

The cut is generous without being boxy. I didn't want the jacket too fitted in case I wear a sweater as a base layer. I like the jacket and am thinking of donating my old black tweed Bean jacket that got plenty of wear but is not nearly as pretty.

A classic jacket and a must have staple for every preppy woman's wardrobe. My only complaint is that it did not come in a smaller size. I would have loved a 0P or 2P. I am 5ft 105# and I swim in the 4P. Despite the fit, I loved the jacket enough to keep it despite the boxy body (I had the arms hemmed). The good news is that I'll be able to layer with a sweater underneath in cooler weather.

I love everything about this jacket. I bought the black and white tweed. The cut, the styling, the color, the material, the buttons on the sleeves etc. is all just perfect.
I took it to my mom's for her to see and she liked it so much, she ordered the same one for herself.
I can see this with jeans and a turtle neck and black boots.
Or dress slacks and a shirt.
Either way, this is a winner.
I just can't wait for cold weather so I can wear it.

I was so excited that this went on sale but disappointed with the item in general especially considering the cost. It had a tight fit through the shoulders (went with a 20P this time around and I am much smaller than the size chart for a size 20P) and the fabric/color was not what I had hoped for at all,
The color was the teal color but dull with black in it. I have returned this item for a refund and the one thing I really disliked about it was an awful strong chemical smell that my husband could detect across the room.

This is a soft, beautiful blazer with a classic style. Although I use LL Bean extensively for sport clothes and home products, I do not usually purchase more stylish items. In this case, I needed a brown toned blazer and took a chance. I am very happy with this beautiful jacket and know I will have it for a long time. It is warm, luxurious to the touch, fits well, and looks sleeker than the photo.
I usually take a size 6, but purchased the 8 petite because I have short arms. The size is just about perfect on me.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Beancanada Runs small
This is a beautiful jacket. Very good quality and classy. Unfortunately it runs small, perhaps because it is tailored. I usually wear a 16 with big bust but had to return and order a size 18. I agree with the other reviews that label on the sleeve has to be removed very carefully with a seam ripper. The blue is a lovely shade. It is quite heavy so would be good for cool spring days.

I ordered this jacket in a size 18P. Sadly, it runs small across the shoulders and was too tight and I've had to return this for a refund. It is a lovely jacket and the fabric is soft and wonderful. I bought it in the color black and it was truly stunning and very sharp looking indeed. Oh well!

I don't know what happened, but clearly the label on the sleeve was supposed to be tacked on, as these sorts of labels ALWAYS are, and yet it is machine sewn on as if it is supposed to remain on the sleeve! I thought previous reviewers complaining about this were being dramatic. They were not. It is extremely difficult to remove this label without damaging the fabric of the sleeve! The back vent is properly tacked. The pockets are sewn shut in the normal manner. But that label! Crazy hard to get off.
Once it was removed, it's a really nice blazer. The collar is a tiny bit itchy and could be improved it it was lined with something smooth against your neck, but the cut is nice, the pockets are nice, the fabric is heavy and perfect for winter. Would be a five star review if not for the silly label!

I bought the black one and the plum, but it was a little more on the red plum than purple plum side that my screen shows, so I returned that one and kept the black. The plum was nice color but just not on me. I used a reading light, tiny seam ripper, and reading glasses and was very careful, patiently, lovingly - so the label came off pretty quickly with no harm. The jacket is well worth it. Classic jacket, beautiful fabric, soft. I'll wear this all winter. Hope you offer a dark or medium gray this year too. I'm typically a XL or PXL in shirts and jackets. I ended up with an 18 PXL to have room for turtleneck underneath. Love the cut, fit, color, everything! Classic, will love for meetings at work.
