Rated 5 out of 5 by MarinerLady IT'S NOT AVAILABLE IN PLUS SIZES
Apparently, LL Bean decided not to make this nice blazer available in plus sizes this year although in years past the blazer was available and was of very nice quality. I am more and more disappointed with classic items like this being discontinued for the larger sizes. Please reconsider next year. Now I must go on a scavenger hunt that I would really rather not have to do.

Do you see the length of this blazer? Do you, Bean's? Go forth and make a dozen jackets and blazers like it.
Yes, it's expensive, but I expect it to last for years.
Yes, I have short arms and these would fit a gorilla and I had to pay to shorten the sleeves.
Yes, it's cut boxy, but then, I'm a bit boxy and this fits over a turtleneck and sweater vest just fine. If you want a trim fit sleek blazer this is not for you.
But it's the length and fabric that make this blazer an "old time classic"! It's not the short length, it's a real "cover your rear" length. I know I'm old-fashioned, but I don't like blazers and jackets that stop at about my hip!
The pockets are good sized, the back vent is the right length, the "hand" of the fabric is great (just the right % of cashmere) and my seamstress wanted to know where the fabric came from because "I haven't seen anything this classy in a long time."

Super soft fabric, and I love the real button holes on the sleeves. Good tailoring! This classic black / white jacket will look great with black slacks at the office, or with jeans for a weekend brunch. I'm so happy to find a classic tailored tweed blazer with full rear coverage. I'm 5'8" and 165, and an adult, so those little waist length shrunken jackets are not for me. Many thanks LLB!

Not fitted at all. Beautiful fabric. Beautiful jacket. Same problem I usually have with Bean clothes. Every now and then something fits beautifully, but most clothing is too boxy. Sent it back today.

The quality and fit are excellent. Extremely well made, excently lined! The back seaming is very attractive and gives a little styling to the overall look. I'm usually a 10 petite in LL Bean. This fit exactly true to size. I live in FL - this will be a perfect winter jacket. Will go with skirts, pants, jeans. Can be casual or business.

Rated 5 out of 5 by LLBeanBeliever Love the Cut and Fit of this Jacket!
This jacket is wonderful. It has the fit and feel of a hacking or riding jacket, and I love the longer length! It looks great with jeans or slacks, too. I got it in navy, claret, and cadet blue and I wish it were available in a variety of colors and plaids. I'm too old to wear the shrunken-fit, modern little blazers, so this jacket is a blessing. I feel so stereotypically 'professor' when I wear them!

Another L.L. Bean item that I loved, but had to send back because it's too wide in the torso. I loved the fabric, softness, color (cadet blue) and lining - well constructed, classy piece. Online it's described as "slightly fitted" and the photos make it look a bit streamlined at the waist, but the small was pretty boxy. So sad ....

This blazer is as beautiful and eye-catching as it looks in the catalogue: gorgeous fabric, dressy, great for office or theatre wear, infinitely mix-and-matchable. The fabric has substantial weight but also a soft feel and lovely drape (ah, wool). The lining adds to the rich feeling. This jacket is a pleasure to wear. It runs true to size tending to the roomy side and, as pictured, has a longer rather than short blazer cut. I feel quite elegant wearing it.
