I have had an Apple Peeling Gizmo for years and have used it often. I recently used it for a church dinner. It was so quick an easy the people hand peeling apples were amazed. My wife and I ordered one for the church so they can use it when we are not there. It is sure to increase the number of apple pies at the church because it is so easy. I have never used it to peel potatoes. Our chef at church is going to try that next week.

I bought the apple peeler/corer for my parents' anniversary, since they love to make applesauce but hate spending hours peeling. The problem: it wouldn't suction to the table. After five reasonably intelligent adults couldn't get it to stick, we gave up and called L.L. Bean. Their customer service is great and they shipped us a new one with no problem. The second one suctions as it's supposed to, and now there is always fresh applesauce when I visit my parents. They love how easy it is to use and how quickly it peels and cores the apples.

I experience pain in my hands when peeling a large amount of potatoes, apples, I saw this on website and thought it would be a good thing to try. It takes a small amount of time adjusting the device to your liking. Once this is how you like it, peeling apples for a pie is a breeze. I also tried a few potatoes and it worked well. I used the device on granite countertop. The suction cup came loose a few times, could be from all the liquid from apples. My husband said, oh no, another gadget for the kitchen, he tried it and really liked it. Overall, I was very pleased with my purchase. I have used it several times.

It takes a little getting used to, but once you figure out how to adjust the tension for apple size, it's easy. We did a bushel of aplles in about an hour. It claims to do potatoes too, but we haven't had much luck with that. Potatoes are bumpy and irregular and you have to go back over them with a peeler anyway.

I just the love this, anyone who lives in New England needs one. It peels, cores and spiral cuts your apple with just the turn of the handle. Amazing, you just pop the apple off peeler , one slice across with knife and pop it into the pie crust....presto! To clean just rinse and dry, it suctions onto your counter, what more could you want to make an apple pie in a jiffy...so happy that I got one! Love love love it!

Bought one peeler, now ordering a second one for another daughter. Speedy peeling, slicing, coring of apples in seconds. Homemade pies as fast as you can load the machine. Clamps to counter, just rinse off blade and you are set for the next time you are making desserts. Definitely a time saver!!

This is such an unique way to peel apples and enjoy them. It is so easy to set up and takes up very little storage space. It peels all varieties and sizes of apples. The apple comes off the end peeled and cut as a spiral. I then slice through for individual pieces. It's perfect for snacks and also makes beautiful uniform slices for pies. I'm always sure to have plenty of apples on hand when the grandkids visit. Not only do they enjoy turning the handle but love the game of seeing whether or not they can get the peel off in one piece and then wiggling it around like a sneaky snake!

This gizmo peels, cores, and slices. I have arthritis in my thumbs and this is an excellent way of peeling apples with no pain. It's also time saving, because it does everything all at once. I also like the fact that you can adjust the depth of the peel. Great product!

This is the greatest invention since the bread slicer or the twist off beer cap. I've had mine for years - the only way to make an apple pie. I just bough a second Peeler as a gift for my sister in law. We both agree the worst thing about making an apple pie is the peeling, coring, and slicing. This does them all in a snap. It is "da bomb!"

We use ours all the time. It peels great but we prefer to core after peeling. You just have to make sure your apples are small and medium, not large.
I love the heft of it, the detailing and the color too.
