Rated 5 out of 5áby Leef Waterproof
This coat is perfect! It was exactly as I expected it to be. Not too heavy -the perfect layering piece. I was wearing it in the storm before Thanksgiving since I live in the northeast and the rain just rolled right off!

This coat is just the right weight for this time of year. Comfortable, neat-looking. Couldn't find anything as good anywhere else.

Rated 5 out of 5áby NeverHadANickname perfect for me
I have been looking for this coat for 20 years! The removable wool liner allows 3 season wear at home. Traveling from the NE for a vacation in the South, I can now just take one coat. Zip out the liner and it is a warm weather coat, and a raincoat.
It is very lightweight but warm with the wool liner in, repels water, and the deep red color is really nice. The length is great. Adjustable sleeves and waistline add to the comfort. It doesn't wrinkle. I am very happy with this product

Rated 1 out of 5áby WalkingFool30 Runs very large!
I used the sizing chart to buy the size indicated by my measurements and was very disappointed. I think I could probably wear two sizes smaller! Since I don't want to spend shipping to return it again and I'm not sure what size would fit correctly, I'm just returning it for a refund. I also thought the lining would be a bit heavier since it was rated as warm to -15. I doubt that I would have worn it below 40 degrees. I should have stuck with not buying clothing without trying in on.

Rated 5 out of 5áby KimberlyInOhio The perfect running-around coat
I really really love this coat. I already was a fan of the H2Off material, for it's wind and water resistance. I have a long coat, and a 3/4 one. This one, however, is my new favorite. (I don't work in the city much anymore, where the long one was of the best use for me, and the 3/4 one looks a bit dowdy.) I am 5'5 and 130 pounds, and am often between a small and medium. I purchased the small in this coat, and it fits perfectly. I have received a lot of compliments on it. While it is not super-warm, I needed a coat for trips where I would be mostly in the car and running in and out of stores and visiting, etc. It is a very flattering coat with good practical qualities.

As a teacher who spends 40 minutes per day working the carpool line, I need a coat to keep me comfortable and dry on windy, rainy days. The H2O Rainwear Parka does the job. My previous rain coat was jacket length, which left my tush and thighs out in the rain. This coat hits me mid thigh, providing excellent coverage without hampering mobility. The zip-out liner is a nice extra layer, though i doubt it will be enough for really cold days. The coat is relaxed enough that I can wear a fleece or sweater layer for added warmth. The cut is a bit sack-like, but it does have a drawstring to cinch it in some for a more fitted look.

Rated 5 out of 5áby CMB55 Great jacket for almost all weather
I bought this in the late spring, but it was too warm to wear it until the last month or so. It's a great all-purpose fall or early spring jacket. It fits true to size, with enough room to wear a fairly heavy sweater even with the insulated lining zipped in.
I'm 5'7" and the jacket falls to mid-thigh on me. It's long enough to cover even my longer sweaters or blazers. It has a two way zipper which is a feature I always like in a coat or jacket.
The inside zippered pocket is a generous size and the outside pockets are big enough to hold a pair of gloves #or my hands#. I like the adjustable cuffs. The sleeves are a bit long but I often have that problem with clothes, and it's not a bad idea to have a jacket with sleeves on the long side.
The zip in wool lining is NOT wool, it's nylon or polyester. The upper part of the lining is quilted insulated material, and the lower part is a plaid synthetic fabric that looks kind of like wool, but it's not. The lining's sleeves are nylon, and not insulated. However, the lining definitely adds some extra warmth.
The H2Off fabric is completely waterproof and it also makes a good windbreaker. I bought it in black because black is always versatile. I think the black fabric actually looks like a very, very dark gray because the fabric has a somewhat reflective quality. It's not shiny, just not an absolutely flat black.
The jacket's temperature rating is definitely way off - it's rated for minus 15 degrees. If you wore it in weather that cold you'd freeze to death. I think mid to low 30's might be the limit, and then only if it's a nice sunny day and you're moving around or if you don't have to be outside for too long.
This jacket would be even better if the hood was removable or if it folded into the collar, but I can live with the attached hood.
I'm a little obsessed with finding the perfect coat/jacket #just ask my husband# and this one comes close.

Rated 2 out of 5áby prwmoli blah, no style, boxy
For $179 this coat is very blah, almost ugly it's so ordinary. No particular style, not particularly warm, somewhat boxy fit. After really trying to like it as we are 30+ year LLBean fans, this is going back.

Rated 4 out of 5áby CAG1956 Waterproof, fits well, but could be warmer
I purchased this rain parka in light mocha to wear on rainy, chilly spring days. I read everyone's reviews of this item's fit to choose the best size. I am 5'5" and weigh between 125-130, so I ordered a Misses Small. The fit is very good. The sleeves are slightly long, but I'd rather have them be a little long on a chilly day than too short. I tried it out on a rainy, chilly fall day and found the waterproof feature to be excellent. However, if you want to be warm, you'll need an extra layer. The zip-out liner does not provide much warmth, especially in the sleeves. As an improvement to this parka, I would recommend that the sleeves of the liner at least be quilted, as is the upper body.

Rated 4 out of 5áby Stallion2008 Returned.....but wait, I did like it.
I needed a nice winter coat for my upcoming trip to Europe in the winter months. I ended up buying this coat along with another one from another store. They both arrived the same day and after making a big pro/con list the LL Bean coat is being sent back. Here was my pro list: (I have wide shoulders and longer arms) 1. the arms length actaully went past my wrist. 2. Nice and roomy. 3. Well made. 4. The liner Zips in (unlike the coat I did chose only buttoned....) 5. Inside pocket. 6. Hood is adjustable. Now my con list This is a nice coat but more for adventure outdoor use and I wanted something dressier to wear for work. The 2 pockets on the outside don't button. Even thought it has a nice zip liner, it wasn't very thick. Has a hood, but can't take it off.... If I would of only ordered this coat it would of served my purpose but the style was just not what I needed at this time. I really wish I could of kept both!!!
