As a Southerner relocated to Massachusetts this is my first pair of snow pants. I had no idea what to expect but was pleasantly surprised by how cozy and dry they kept me even after sitting in the snow clearing my roof for over an hour. I especially like the longer under layer of the pants which can tuck into my boots and keep the snow out and my socks dry.

Good quality snow pant but way to large in thigh & ankle area. I would suggest sizing down if ordering.

I have owned these pants for a number of years now and am completely confident that no matter what the conditions these pants will keep you warm and dry. Our recent ski trip to Quebec with -5 top of mountain (before wind chill) temps daily was no problem. I've also hoofed it with kids sledding & romping in deep snow and again no problem. You won't regret these being your go-to snow pants.

Very happy with the fit and performance of these pants. I recently went on a six-day backcountry trip in some very challenging conditions, and the pants performed great. I used them for travel in the snow, cross-country skiing, and even dogsledding! I especially like the zippered pockets for keeping gear secure and the integral gaiter. I really appreicate having backcountry-worthy clothing for all shapes and sizes, as I myself am a plus size - thanks LL Bean!

I have been needing snow pants for years. I have always made excuses and this year I finally splurged. I did my research and love L.L.Bean products. They seemed to have the best price for what I was looking for. I am not a skier buy believe this would do will on the slopes. They served by very well when we got 20 inches of snow and 3 days of shoveling. I use them playing outside with the kids and going snow tubing. The sizing was right on and they were warm enough to wear with just an Underarmour/or thermal pant (snug fit layer). I wear these with my L.L. Bean Boots (made in MAINE!) and don't get wet, or cold. Highly suggest them!

I love these snow pants! I ordered a size larger than I would normally wear because I wanted them to easily fit over a pair of pants and long underwear. Because of this the waist is large but the belt loops allow for a belt. Velcro tabs also help with the fit.The elasticized snow gaiter and Velcro and snap adjustments on the legs prevented snow from entering my boots while I hiked through 3 feet of new snow. Not only were my legs dry but warm. So glad I ordered them. They should also be great for skiing.

I bought these to wear while waiting outside for taxis in the winter. I'm 5'3" 145 lbs. and the Petite Large fits over a base layer, but there could be more room in the butt. They would fit very tight over a pair of pants. I wore them in 10F windy weather with a base layer and I was warm. The length, at 29" is too long for me and I had to sort of hem them. I don't know what shorter people do. I think LL Bean should consider 28" for the length of these in Petite.

These pants are extremely comfortable and warm, yet not too warm. They seem to adjust to the ambient temperature. I like it that the waist is higher, meaning, it is not below the natural waist. This makes movement and exercise in these pants easy. I have worn them in freezing rain and stayed dry.

The fit around the waist and hips was fine. Also the length was perfect-I ordered a petite, however the width of the legs was freakishly wide not at all attractive and hard to walk in.

Great length, great weight, really warm! The only "problem" I would say is they have really wide legs and not to wide hips/waist. Now, that might be my body type which is not narrow by any means. They are pretty true to size. I was going to order a 2x b.c that was my largest measurement but I am glad I went with 1x, 2 i feel would have been way too big, a little more roomy in the waist but way too roomy in the legs.
