After trying on just about every pair of pants on earth, I have found pants that fit and flatter. These aren't high-end or low-end -- they are just sensible, comfortable, WASHABLE pants with pockets (Hello, cell phone! You have a home!) and will be worn multiple times per week. The navy works with navy garments I already own. The adjustable waist means I can have pants that fit in the hips AND in the waist. Now who do I have to bribe to get these made in gray -- a light shade and a dark shade, please. (I'll bake you a pie!)

I have two other pairs of these same Bayside Twill Pants, Classic Fit Straight-Leg Hidden Comfort Waist that I purchased a year to 2 years ago, which fit perfectly. I ordered these in the dark coffee in the same size as my others but these don't fit as well. Not to say they are too small or have a short rise, but they're not cut the same. I even put an old pair up against this new pair and you can see a visible difference. They FIT, and a size larger would make them too big, they are just not as comfortable as my older ones.

Rated 4 out of 5 Change in length
A few months ago I purchased two pairs of these pants and loved them! They fit very well and the petite length 28" was fine. When I ordered two more in different colors I found that they were about 6" too long. The reason I was given was that the company wasn't offering them in the petite length any longer! And that was that! If I keep them I will have to pay to have them altered. Not fair to suddenly change policy.

I have purchased many pair of Bayside twills over the years and have loved them. However, now that I am a Plus size, I can't buy them anymore because I need a medium-tall inseam; 30 inches won't cover it.
Just because women are plus size doesn't mean they get shorter! Please, please, please offer these plus sizes in at least medium-tall inseams.

I love L.L.Bean cloths. But these pants are not that great. They are very tight in the butt and waist and the waist band is way to loose. Even if you wear a belt the pockets stick out and bunch up and your skin shows with the little hole that's in the pocket. I am going to keep them for work because I can put a longer shirt over them. But very disappointed in the style of these pants. I have never had a problem with L.L.Bean cloths before. Usually they are very high quality for the price of there items. They need to change the style of these pants. If you are very skinny they are great. But if you have any tummy fat they don't work well at all.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Longtime Good, comfortable pants ...
I bought these pants in order to have something a bit heavier than the Conway pants, which I love. The cotton twill is smooth and fit is just fine for a 5'5" average woman. I wore them traveling and was pleased that they did not wrinkle much after a lot of sitting. They wash well ... I do iron them because I like a crisp crease in the front. Would be great if these pants had a deeper back pocket and maybe a small cargo pocket on the side of the pant leg.

These pants are tighter in the hips and seat and the waist is lower than the Easy Stretch pants, even though both are Classic Fit. Why?

This is just the pant I was looking for. Something a little dressier that I could go out to dinner in. The quality of fabric is wonderful and looks great straight out of the dryer. The workmanship is great and I love the hidden elastic in the waistband. I ordered the black coffee color and was not disappointed. I'll probably order this pant in a different color for a second pair. You won't be disappointed. Sizing was spot on.

Like other reviewers, I thought these would be great with the hidden elastic. However, they just don't fit right, rise is to low in the back. They keep sliding down and are very uncomfortable. Need to bring back your original style they were the best. Maybe make these in the classic fit with no elastic.

I was drawn to these pants because of the hidden elastic (I'd rather have NONE but they're hard to find in women's sizes), at least it wasn't the usual bubble tush backside. But, as in some other comments, even just walking around made the pants slide down in back, and practically fall off. Loved the fabric, the basic look is good, legs a bit wide but doable. That waist, just not good, and the back side of the pants is not long enough to keep the pants up. Why can't anyone make regular pants that don't have elastic or spandex or hip hugging waists? Beans used to have a style called classic chinos, the fabric was perfect, not twill, very soft, it moved nicely when you walked, and it came without elastic in the waist! Please, if you're listening, LLBean clothing buyers, please bring those back.
