After trying on just about every pair of pants on earth, I have found pants that fit and flatter. These aren't high-end or low-end -- they are just sensible, comfortable, WASHABLE pants with pockets (Hello, cell phone! You have a home!) and will be worn multiple times per week. The navy works with navy garments I already own. The adjustable waist means I can have pants that fit in the hips AND in the waist. Now who do I have to bribe to get these made in gray -- a light shade and a dark shade, please. (I'll bake you a pie!)

I really like the wrinkle-free fabric, but the legs are baggy. The description says they are slim through the hips, and I guess they are, but the legs should be a lot slimmer, not just "straight." My biggest disappointment is that the women's sizes don't come in the shorter length. I need a 28" and don't enjoy hemming -- LLBean, please note -- all women of a certain size aren't tall! I'm 5'6" and the pants are way too long.

Well, I knew I'd have to hem these pants (I'm short), so that didn't bother me. What did and still does bother me is the fact that these pants look awful! I have to wear my top out over them! It's the adjusting waistband! It makes the pockets stick out in front, and when you sit down the waistband dips in the back! Then, when you stand and start walking, you have to hitch up the pants to keep from walking on the back of the lower pant leg! If I hadn't already hemmed the dang things I would send them back! It seems I'm not the only one that feels that way either! Too bad I didn't read all of the reviews before I ordered. I certainly wouldn't have ordered these!

Back is lower when sitting. Pockets are stretched and donot lay flat. Too small from the waist to the crotch - not long enough.

I have lots of LL Bean pants and always wear the same size. My usual size in these pants was much too small as was the next size up! I am very disappointed and they're going back to the store.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Grannynana Good fit for me
I have several of these pants, at least 5 pairs, and wear them often because they do fit well.I'm 5'6" and wt is 150 ( give or take a few) I have learned to buy med tall when I order Bean pants. I gave them 4 stars because they do shrink up in length and the light colors do not come out of the dryer wrinkle free like the bayside twills. None the less they still look good on. A few wrinkles aren't a problem for me in casual wear. The Bayside twills are always baggy in the hips but these aren't, Love that and ordered another pair today. I appreciate the reviews but would urge reviewers to add their Ht and wt, it is so helpful.

These are the best pants ever! I have worn them for probably 15 years to work. They wash very well and you can just hang them out of the dryer and no ironing. They look great and are very comfortable. I am very upset though that the shorter length in the women's sizes are no longer carried. And of course that is the length I need!!
PLEASE BRING THE SHORTER LENGTH BACK!!!

They looked good...but felt awful. Upon buttoning, the back part of the pants rose into a thong experience. Terrible Fit. Bad LLBean! Get the 'Perfect Fit Straight Leg Pants' instead? a 300% better experience.

I've been buying the Bayside Straight Fit for several years & over several clothing sizes. These were a terrible disappointment. The waist loosens up as the day progresses, so by the end of the day I'm tugging them up. Also, the back is a good inch or more lower than the front when standing requiring a long cami in order to maintain modesty. When sitting, they not only ride down in the back, but also gap. In the office, this requires a long sweater. This was NOT an improvement--and now my favorite pants are not available.

Rated 1 out of 5 by tat1 Horrible, horrible, horrible!!!
I've worn LL Beans Bayside Twill Pants for 15 years...ALWAYS LOVED THEM, particularly the straight leg Curvy style when it was offered. This time when I went to reorder, the only straight leg was Classic Fit with Comfort Waist. I don't like the way a stretch waist looks, so I ordered the hidden comfort waist in my usual size. DID NOT FIT AT ALL. Doesn't sit properly on the hips, the waist doesn't stretch evenly, and the back doesn't rise properly to the natural waist. Horrible, horrible, horrible. (BRING BACK 'CURVY STRAIGHT-LEG CLASSIC FIT'!)
