Love this comforter. It did make some noise the first week but went away after several nights sleeping under it. My husband and I love it. Worth every dollar. Thanks again LL Bean for another product we will enjoy for years to come.

I love it. It crinkles as other reviews mention, but definitely not a problem. I keep my mobile home temp around 65degrees and my comforter is plenty warm.

Well right out of the box it looks and feels wonderful. It is a little noisy but is not bothersome. The king size width was a couple inches less than what was stated which really bothers me but I got past it with all the positive attributes. Thats why it didn't earn the full five stars. I haven't washed it so I can't account for that.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Angel444 True to Size
Whenever I buy a comforter it comes in a full/queen size which is a little too big for my liking. This comforter is true to size, full, and it fits my bed beautifully. The only thing with this comforter is that the material is crunchy. It makes a crunchy sound whenever I move about during the night. I've washed it a few times to try and get the material to soften up but it still makes that sound. I do love it all the same and will continue to use every night. Very happy with my purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by ThePurveyorofTruth This is not a comforter
Recently I purchased a PrimaLoft Down Alternative Comforter, warm. When the package arrived, I promptly opened it. What I discovered was not a comforter but rather something much more magical. It would seem that L.L. Bean mistakenly shipped me a time machine.
When I use the "comforter" I find myself mystically transported into the future. I wrap myself in this "comforter" and the next thing I know Monday has escaped me and I find myself transported to Wednesday or Thursday.
I suppose the only downside, if there is one, is that I have not figured out how to reverse this process. The PrimaLoft Time Machine will hold me in advance me into the future, not bring me back to the past. I am not sure how many days I have lost, or what has happened during those days.

Rated 5 out of 5 by jdenny21 Very Nice Comforter regardless of the price
I was leaning towards the Goose down comforter until reading the reviews with seemingly the majority of them stating it was too warm. I purchased this Primaloft comforter because of the reviews and it's machine washability and am very satisfied with it. We keep our home at 68 degrees in the St. Louis winter and I find it provides the perfect amount of warmth with just itself and a bed sheet.
Other reviews stated that it is noisy, but I do not find that to be a problem. It is a tad "crinkly", but it has not been washed and doesn't bother my wife or I at all.
The baffle construction is doing a great job at keeping the insulation properly and evenly distributed unlike a previous Primaloft comforter I owned.
All in all, we are very happy with it and are buying another for our daughter's bed as she loves it.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Nutmegger73 Bad smell from manufacturing
I was looking forward to receiving this comfortor and ordered a batch of primaloft pillows to go with it. The primaloft pillows were fine but a week later the comfortor still smells like manufacturing chemicals and has a terrible odor. I will NEVER use this and certainly not in a bedroom where I sleep! I expect much more from Bean - please offer an organic cotton shell option as it seems these days that is the only way to ensure that an item won't arrive with the "cheaply manufactured abroad" stink

Rated 5 out of 5 by nmsus Warm, light comforter
I got the king size "warm" comforter. The light-weight warmth is just right for us. We keep the house at 62 at night and live in the cold mountains of northern NM. I replaced an old down comforter, and this one seems just as warm and light. We use nothing else. My allergies have really improved! Others mentioned that this comforter makes a crinkling noise, and indeed it does. I assume the cotton cover must be treated with something, and it makes a crinkly rustling when you move it around. Our new duvet cover came a week after the comforter and I found that putting the duvet cover on it makes this rustling much less noticeable. My husband, a light sleeper, says it doesn't both him at all, but it may bother some people. Other than that, this is a great comforter.

Rated 5 out of 5 by limboinla Very, very nice duvet
I searched for a long time for the perfect duvet/comforter. This one is it. Very well made and yes, it is warm, but not hot in any way. It is extremely light-weight on top of my body, and I was really surprised how warm it is. I live in southern Louisiana and also don't care for heavy covers, as it feels claustrophobic for me. If I get too warm I just push it off for a minute.
The great thing about this duvet is that I have given up the bed style of bottom sheet, top sheet, blanket, and then comforter, of which all the various parts were always getting pulled this way and that and becoming a mess within a few days. Making the bed was also such a chore. Now I simply have a bottom sheet and this duvet over me. So simple, just as warm as before, and yet so easy to deal with and make up. The first couple of nights I left a small blanket at the foot of my bed thinking I might need it if this light duvet wasn't warm enough. But I have not needed the extra blanket at all. I really, really love it!
It is stitched all over in approx. 12" squares to keep the fill uniform and has white cotton piping on the edges, which is nice. Also has a very strong duvet tie on each of the 4 corners.
