Love these sheets. They're so soft and cuddly.
The open end of the pillow cases come out of the dryer wrinkled; they don't dry flat in the dryer. But it's not like we wear them, so we don't really care about that. Just thought others might like to know.
We all love these sheets so much, I had to buy enough sets for everyone in the house!

I have loved flannel since my first sleeping bag. My wife has a severe flannel fetish too. So we know flannel. These are the best softest cuddlyest sheets I have ever felt. Well worth the price. All our other sheets are streets behind.

Very nice quality. Only down side are the size of the pillow cases, they are so long (for a standard size pillow) you could use them as a small child's sleeping bag.

When house-sitting for a friend, I experienced L.L.Bean flannel sheets for the first time. My friend told me her set was six-years-old, yet the plushness was still there. I ordered a set for myself, and will not buy any other flannel sheets, other than from L.L.Bean. The quality is excellent and the fit is generous, unlike less expensive flannels. I just returned from a trip to San Diego, and ordered a set as a thank you gift for my hostess (also my best friend). Plus, I couldn't resist ordering yet another set for myself for my guest bed. I was feeling guilty that I was sleeping in luxury, yet a guest would be sleeping in lesser quality bedding. I think I'm all set now. Thank you, L.L.Bean!

I finally had a chance to try out my new Queen Navy Tartan (actually Dress Gordon Tartan) sheets after washing & drying the set, and can honestly say these are the best sheets I've ever had the pleasure of sleeping in. SUMPTUOUSLY soft & silky smooth - absolutely NO PILLING (in contrast to my previous sheets, which were sooo pilled they were actually very rough against the skin). I truly slept like a baby in these. Unlike another reviewer, my sheets fit my mattress perfectly - I have a mattress topper, bringing full height to approx 12 inches, & after laundering, I found the bottom sheet to fit perfectly - wasn't dealing with extra fabric to tuck in. Lint in the dryer was relatively modest for a first wash. I couldn't think of anything to improve these sheets, and will be planning to stock up in the other tartan while these are still carried. I wanted to recommend these sheets right away after the first night ? but, I knew a little circumspection, and further wear and tear was required for some modicum of objectivity. I?ve now had them on my bed for a total of four weeks (non-consecutive) and they?ve been washed four times and I can say these flannel sheets are the best I?ve owned. They are thick and soft ? luxuriously so. I mean, these sheets are just jam packed with soft, cottony, flannely goodness ? I wish I could use them year ?round. I?ve ordered the other plaid available for fear Bean would sell out (they are backordered as of this writing). I REALLY wish Bean would offer these in other authentic Scottish Tartans such as Black Watch, Lindsay, Royal Stewart, etc. (Bean used to offer tartan flannel sheets back in the good ?ol days). They should also offer this fabric and matching patterns as duvet covers. I, initially, thought the price of these sheets a bit high but, that?s because I was used to paying for some pretty mediocre (at best) flannel sheets that were thin, pilled readily, and lost their nap after a season. I will agree with one reviewer that, at least, on my bed the fitted sheet fits a bit large, but it really hasn?t been a problem for me as I just tuck it in a bit ? better too large with the allowance for shrinking over the years than too small.
These are worth the money and I would unhestitatingly buy more sets in more tartans if Bean offered them. Please, Bean ? at least offer them in Black Watch and Royal Stewart next season??.

These are the first sheets I've bought from Bean and I love them. They are so thick and soft. We've had them over a month and washed them several times. They hold the color and do not get those annoying "pills" like some flannel. I can't get over the high quality. Well worth the money. We live in Texas and the sheets are still very comfortable even on the warmer nights.

Thick, soft and the ultimate in comfort. The sides are deep to cover the mattress and L L Bean down mattress topper. It's hard to get out of bed in the morning. I only wish they made them in more plaids. I would recommend these flannel sheets to anyone. I don't think they could be any better.
