This was a bit more complex for me to put together than the longer coffee table, but that's probably me. Quality is superb. Highly recommend any of the mission furniture. This is my 2nd piece! Shipping packaging is very protective & well done.

by SierraWill Poor Instructions
The instructions were poorly done and confusing; the photos could have been clearer. It took me as long to figure out the instructions as it did to actually put the table together -- hence the loss of a star. LL Bean needs to work with the vendor on this. Otherwise, the finished product is very nice looking and goes perfectly with the antique dark mission chair I paired it with. Solid wood and made in America are a plus.

Solid construction, heavier in weight than I expected - a positive. Good finish on the wood.
Requires some final assembly. I would recommend assembly up on a table or workbench, not on the floor.

We (my husband and I) bought this side table to match a mission chair. We got it in "light" mission. We were able to assemble it with a minimum of trouble but thought the pre-made screw holes were too small. Consequently we used a drill for the screws and this worked very well or us. We are very pleased with the outcome; it is very solid and nicely finished. We feel the llbean mission furniture is of high quality. Comparing it to assembled mission furniture, it is a fraction of the price.

I received this end table much sooner than expected. My son put it together and I didn't hear any yelling or complaints so I know it was relatively easy to put it together. I really like the detail on the drawer which is a good place for storage and also the bottom shelf. It's used for a lamp table and is very pretty. I have also purchased a bookcase and futon frame and all 3 pieces are dark mission. They blend together with two antique pieces very well so I am very pleased. The pieces are sturdy and will last a very long time. I highly recommend this piece.

Have looked at other tables that were similar, but not as nicely made and were more money. We bought this table, the media table, and two Morris chairs from this line. Have been pleased with all of it

Nice quality - much better than most "some assembly required" furniture. If you're handy and have basic tools, it can be assembled in just an hour or two. Sturdy and attractive.

Most of my clothing and a good deal of my furniture and accessories have been purchased from LLBean over the past 25 years. Never have I found myself cursing them as I did when attempting to assemble this mission end table. What should have been simple turned bloody as I got a blister on the palm of my hand attempting to insert the 2 1/4" screws in the the "pre drilled" holes. My better half finally talked me into using a power drill to get them tighten. One or two are still a bit lose. The instruction "manual" was a bit weak, with dark pictures that are hard to make out. Also it said only tools needed are hammer and a phillips screwdriver. Better add gloves and or a power drill. It is a nice piece of furniture, and I have several other mission pieces, thus is why I purchased this piece. But should not have been so difficult to assemble.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Smitty54 It looks great
The end table arrived much earlier than the 2-3 weeks estimated. When I set it up the instructions were for the larger end table so a couple extra glances were required. Set up took maybe 45 minutes. Did it all with a single screwdriver and hammer. All the holes lined up nicely. It's sturdy and will last for years. It looks great, just as advertised. I would give it 5 stars except there was a small gouge in one the legs. However, the blemish was on back and faced inward, so it will never be seen.
