Rated 4 out of 5�by akitamix has other uses! I know this is marketed as a children's step stool, but I put it next to the computer desk to hold a few things. (see the pic) I think it would work as a small plant stand too. Plus having my name on it is kind of fun. :) It feels study, but it is a small thing, I would give it 4 1/2 stars. No issues with the paint or construction. Made in the USA is a HUGE plus for me as well. April 3, 2013

Rated 2 out of 5�by Chae Disappointed I purchased this as a gift for my grandson's birthday, after viewing a variety of children's stools online.. Although there were no previous reviews, the rocking chair reviews were so sterling, I felt I could not go wrong with LL Bean quality. I was unpleasantly surprised. Being a birthday gift, I did give this to my grandson, but was embarrassed. The top wood step is not a solid piece, but two pieces glued together. The finish is sprayed on, and drips are visible. Although the personalization is as depicted online, it looks too small for the space. Measurements are included in the description, but this step stool is narrow, and could be a few inches wider for safety. I would be returning it, had it not been gifted. Sorry, LL Bean, for having to give negative feedback. November 7, 2012
