Rated 3 out of 5 by Seattlejanie Beautiful fabric & workmanship, fits wrong.
I ordered these cute pants in regular length, which normally would be fine for me. I have more of my height in my legs than my torso, but the inseam on these pants is extremely long. Would have ordered petite but it was sold out on my size. I was planning on taking them in to be hemmed, but the fit is too far off for me.
Snug at the waist, but the front does nothing to help flatten a tummy. The rise is a little short too. The pants end in an extreme bell bottom, which was not apparent to me from the online pictures. I love the fabric, they are well made & lined beautifully - wanted to love them but the fit is too far off for me.

I really like these pants. I saw a similar pair at the LLBean store last year and regretted not buying them so this year made sure to get a pair. I like these because they are very comfortable but stylish. I wore them to a holiday party and got compliments (I bought the black/white pair). My teenage daughters were really impressed with them too. I am 5'8" and always have trouble getting pants long enough in my size (6), but these pants fit perfectly and are long enough to wear with a small heel or dressy flats. My only critique would be that I wish the inside of the waist band was lined, as the wool is a little itchy at the waist (though it is nice that the pants are lined otherwise).

I bought these last year in a red and charcoal plaid that is no longer available. I get compliments each time I wear them. They are stunning, and the fit is great. I normally wear my pants lower than these, but these are a beautiful modern fit, and sit well below the natural waist. They make me look thin and leggy, and while I'm thin, I'm far from leggy at 5'2". The best thing is to put these warm, wool, lined pants on on a blustery morning and look fashionable while staying warm. I ordered the camel color this year, and will probably buy one of the other colors this year. I know they're pricey, but you won't regret this purchase. Classic style and quality craftsmanship. For reference, I am about 105 pounds and ordered a 2 petite.

I love these pants! The quality is terrific; they're even very nicely lined and you don't see that these days very often. The wool is of a nice heavy quality. The style (for me anyway) is perfect- I am tired of the skinny, skinny, skinny look, which seems to be all you can find in today's market. Love the color and as a matter of fact, I also purchased the teal plaid this year. Two or three years ago I had purchased another pair in a light blue tan plaid and still enjoy wearing them even though they are a bit tight after having gained a few pounds so went one size up this time. The sizing is prefect (note the rise is marginally short but still ok). I am 5'2" 102 pounds proportioned and the petite 2 fits well. Not too tight and not too loose. Enjoy if you buy them.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Princepessa Perfect winter pant
I have several pairs of these pants, in black wool and in various plaids. Still irritated/sad that I checked the website on daily basis yet still no 0 Regulars available for purchase! And now they are all gone. I guess I will have to wait until winter 14 to hope they come back with this same color and style--would love to have a neutral wool work pant to add to my collection. Love the lining. So warm for waiting at the bus stop or when the winter days are windy. Perfect shape and proportions for my frame. So happy to find a size 0 pant that 1. actually fits 2. is high quality and 3. isn't vulgar/trendy/made for the clubs

I have these wool trousers in the black cherry plaid and I LOVE them. I think I ordered them back in early November and I have worn them lovingly since. They are beautifully made. There is a lining so the wool does not itch and they fit like a glove. I am just about 5 feet 4 inches, 118 pounds and the 4 petite is perfect. I wear a short kitten heel with them and I gets tons of compliments. I am debating if I should get the navy and black pair too. They are expensive, but I know I will have these pants for years to come.

Rated 5 out of 5 by jsnkymom Wish they had more colors in my size
This pant looks great. I ordered a pair when they were on sale so my selection was limited on size and color. I am a professional and have gotten many complements on them at work. I had to order one size up and in Petite because they didn't have my regular size. I am a size 12 and fuller figured. This pant tends to make you look slimmer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by straightshooter2 a very sharp classic
I bought these slacks in the deep blue in size 12 P as a Christmas gift for my Mom. After reading the reviews i had ordered 'up' a size, and that was the right decision as they are a lovely tailored fit. The fabric, attention to detail, feel & fit of the trouser is wonderful. However, in trying them on pre-wrapping (Mom is 5' 2", i am 5' 3") i realized they were way too long on me even with a good heel and would be excessively long on her. So i kept this petite pair for me but am not over-joyed that i will be investing in tailoring for slacks with a 'petite' inseam to begin with. If LL Bean Signature is going to lengthen the petite inseam to 30" then i recommend also including a 'Petite Short' at 28 or 29" at this price point. Otherwise these are a very good value for the style, quality of fabric & workmanship, just heed the review input on sizing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by cb129 Excellent pants
These are probably the best pants I've ever purchased in my life, bar none. I know that sounds like an exaggeration, but as a petite woman with a "skinny pear" body type, I am constantly in search of good pants that fit correctly. For the record, I am 5'4", 115 pounds, with a 29-30 inseam (depending on if I am wearing heels or not). I ordered the 4P in the Italian Wool Trouser in Plaid (Deep Black/Bright Navy).
These pants win on every count. First of all, the quality is superb. From the minute I opened the package, I could see that these are high quality pants. The wool is gorgeous and expensive looking, with rich muted colors. The quality of the sewing is excellent, and the pants are fully lined. And the fit is great. I have never had pants that fit me so perfectly off the rack with no alterations. Usually the rise is too low (I really dislike this low-rise trend) and that usually ends up with me constantly yanking up pants because they feel like they are going to fall off, but the rise on these pants are perfect at the natural waist and do not look high waisted at all. The fit at the hips is great too--not too big (and not too curvy). The leg length and shape are perfect--fitted at the thighs with a slight flare at the end. And I can't say enough about how well the butt fits. These are truly exceptional pants.
The overall look is sleek, polished, expensive, and classic. After receiving the first pair, I went back and ordered more--Black Cherry and a Brown plaid. Again, both these are just gorgeous. I just wish the Black Slate and the Herringbone were back in stock! I would buy them in a heartbeat.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Meddymaine Superb quality and value.
I ordered two pair -- the herringbone and black/blue plaid. The fabric and construction are of excellent quality.
Be sure to check the size charts. I did, and ordered the next size up. I generally wear a 10P and ordered the 12P. Even they are a bit snug, but I'll keep them because the 14P would have been a little too big.
Overall, these are of fine quality at a price far less than I would expect to pay elsewhere.
