Rated 5 out of 5 by Beanertown Golden Cider, Apples, Crisp Fall Days
This is the perfect jacket for Fall days - for raking and doing outside chores around the house. I wear a t-shirt under it and it is perfect in any temperature - or at least any temperature we've had this Fall, which has been down to the upper 30s F when I've been outside - raking. I do a lot of raking.
I never feel cold in it - I flip up the collar if the wind is going down my neck and that suffices. When I'm cooling down from raking, the jacket maintains its warmth and I don't feel sweaty like I might in a nylon jacket; the leaves that I gather up don't stick to the jacket, and the jacket doesn't seem to show the dirt - though I haven't asked others for their opinions on that score. The jacket fits well - I got a large, and one look from my husband told me I'd better get him an XL, which I did, in the same color as mine. I love the slit pockets. Slit pockets should always be present in any jacket in my opinion, and these are very good. They could be deeper, but they hold my work gloves and other bits of things, and are very nice indeed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by ovaltine warm and casual, true LLBean quality.
Now late fall in Switzerland with temperatures around 10 degrees Celsius, this Shirt Jacket feels wonderful to wear over a shirt and a wool sweater. It feels neither too heavy or not too thin, just has a perfect weight. The fabric feels like wool and the dark blue color matches the color on the web. The only down side might be that the fleece lining stretches just to the edge of the opening, but I regard this as a minor and rather aesthetic issue that does not influence my impression that this is a product that I associate with true LLBean quality.

I wear this to class. It is nice and warm in this Chicago weather, but light enough to carry around once indoors.

by Benner perfect shirt jacket
This is a great light jacket for transitional weather. The fit is slim and flattering but not too snug. The wool outer is a little lighter than I was expecting and moves like a heavy shirt material, so it is definitely more of a true shirt-jacket hybrid than just a jacket in the shape of a shirt. I'd almost describe it as a heavy, sherpa-lined sweatshirt in wool instead of cotton. This jacket can work as either a solo jacket in mild cold or a layering piece in serious cold. The other day I was perfectly comfortable standing around in this jacket for a couple hours in the 30s with a shirt and a light vest on underneath.
The warm cider color is perfect for autumn. It especially works if you're a guy like me who otherwise wears pretty basic colors like tan, light blue, and navy. The warm cider stands out in just the right way. The real color is closer to the stock image than the pictures with the model - it's a little darker and more orangey than the model pictures depict.

Rated 5 out of 5 by ActiveOutdoors1 Lined Wool Blend Shirt Jacket
As usual every Fall awaiting the new colors. I own two and just now ordered the Cider color. I am 5' 9" and the Medium fits well. I like how the inner fleece lining insulates the body. Nice touch with the pockets. The earlier versions did not have pockets, however, they did have a leather elbow patch. That gave the jacket a nice look. Love the warm cider color, which will be released soon, but it's worth the wait.... Thanks, Signature!

Rated 4 out of 5 by TexasYankeeATX Color of website pic more faded than actual item
My only issue is that the color is not quite the same as the color shown on the website product image. Its a little understated. The orange stripes are a bit more prominent as well as the dark mallard green on the jacket. As to fit, I went with a small. I have a 39 inch chest and 32.5 inch sleeve length and am about 5ft-6 in height. It's fairly difficult for me to find clothing in mediums (which is what I usually get due to chest size) that do not end up being a bit to large in the sleeve and total length. I chose the small on a hunch that it might fit better as I have a older LL Bean jacket that is just to slightly too big for me in medium. The small size of this jacket fits me well in the shoulders and sleeve length and I like that it gives me a more slim fitted look. If you are similar in build I suggest trying out the small first.

Rated 5 out of 5 by BacktoLLBeanNow Comfortable, Functional, Warm
This Jac Shirt wears like a heavy overshirt, very comfortable but is as warm as some of my winter coats. It caught my eye but I was hesitant to order online. Fortunately I'm close to the King of Prussia Store which carried this. It was a little pricey but I was able to purchase at 25% off for opening a credit card. For only having it a week or so, it is what I grab every morning to walk the dog and as I suspect my go to casual jacket when I leave the house. I'm 6' 185lbs with 34-35 arm length and the Large fits nice, the medium was a little snug under the arms.
