Rated 4 out of 5 by Ardenvoir Nice and warm but a backwards zipper!!!
I wanted some lined hiking pants for hiking in cooler weather, not really cold weather. They are great for keeping the chill off. I love the stretch too. I am between a size 4 and 6, and since there was some stretch I ordered a 4. They are slightly tight but not uncomfortable. They are a bit short also, but not ridiculously so, especially with hiking boots. The worst thing about them is the ***LEFT HANDED ZIPPER***!!!! WHY do they do that??!!!! It's freaking backwards! I can live with that small aggravation for the cool-weather hiking pants. But I won't buy any more of them, and I will be checking in the future to see what side the zipper is on and I will not buy any left-handed zipper pants. Hey, I am ambidextrous and write left-handed but I am inconvenienced by this just a little bit.

I needed pants that were lighter than snowpants but warmer than regular pants and these are perfect!! When I first put them on, the waist was too big but then I adjusted the elastic straps and everything is great now. If I was going to be super critical? The seat could be bigger but I've got a long torso so it's probably not a universal problem. I love, love, love these pants. Worth every penny that I spent.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Jericho Nice for cool weather
I walk my dog in fields and woods daily and these pants are perfect for those days when my unlined trail pants aren't warm enough and my LL Bean snow pants are too warm. (You need lots of clothes in Vermont!). I wear the lined trail pants when it's in the 30's and 40's. They are comfortable, have a zip pocket for keys and washable.

Rated 3 out of 5 by rph1270 too short unfortunately
These pants felt fantastic when I tried them on, but were about 3 inches too short (I'm 5'10"). I was so disappointed that they weren't available in a tall size. They seemed to be made well and had a lot of pockets. Had to send them back though!

Rated 3 out of 5 by CityActive Buttons on Inside Waist??
Warm, but buttons on the inside waist (to adjust size) are too uncomfortable and irritating.

I love my comfort trail pants and was feeling bummed that they are too light weight for our Michigan winters. But I'm thrilled to discover that LL Bean has that base beautifully covered with these insulated pants!

Rated 5 out of 5 by EICM Great Purchase
I bought these to go over my pants so I wouldn't freeze during my mile walk to work. They definitely make a difference, block the wind and offer some warmth and are comfortable to wear since they have some stretch to them. I am happy with this purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by CatskillHiker Ideal winter pants!
I already have several pairs of the unlined Comfort Trail pants. I decided to try the lined version. It was love at first wearing! They are cozy, comfy and contain all the best features of the unlined version, going one better with pockets lined with the lining material instead of the mesh that tends to shred.
The reviewers who pointed out the lined pants were a snugger fit than the unlined ones were spot on. If you are in the middle of your size, they're fine. They do have a bit of stretch to them. If you are already 'snuggly' fitting into the unlined pants, you will want to order a size up for the lined ones. I assume that the lining itself is taking up the extra space.

I purchased these pants to wear to my grandsons hockey games. I thought they would be warm because of the the lining. Put them on, walked outside where it was 25 degrees and turned right around, went back in the house and took them off. Plan to return them to the store.
