Rated 5 out of 5 by Susie2B Love Them!
I purchased them today and love them. They're stylish so you can definitely wear them off the trail! Love the interior of the adjustable waist. The way it is made is genius so it won't show on the outside of the waistband. Now that I've purchased these we'll probably have a mild winter but just in case we don't, I'm ready now!

Ordered the unlined version this summer and wore them almost every day. Most comfortable for hiking, walking or just hanging out in the mountains or city. Ordered the lined version for winter and they have a soft lining that keeps you warn outside and comfortable inside. Love both lined and unlined Comfort Trail Pants styling is very flattering, pockets deep enough for phone.

Rated 2 out of 5 by packhunter Please make in medium tall length
I ordered the grey. The length was not 31 inches but just 30 inches....which when you need the medium tall in the first place makes these pants way, way too short. L L Bean sells the same pant unlined in medium tall and seems to sell out every year. Our legs don!t shrink in the winter time....please L L Bean make these in medium tall!

Rated 3 out of 5 by AlwaysWalkingtheDog Great concept, just didn't fit
Loved the fabric. Outside fabric was nice and quiet when walking and the inside liner was cozy. These pants were too short and too bulky in the crotch. I'm 5'7" and 120 pounds. The size 4 fit in the waist but I wish they came in tall sizes as that may have worked better for me.

Rated 2 out of 5 by olliemom Didn't fit right
Loved the feel of the these pants. Just right for winter in the northeast. However, I am very short-waisted and these pants cut me--in the wrong places. So sorry but they have to go back.

Rated 5 out of 5 by purplecrone Wish they came in petite length
Let me say right off, these pants are great. The light lining makes them ideal for hiking in 30-50 degree weather. The fabric is tough when bushwhacking or scrambling over rocks. The zip pockets are ideal - maybe one more on the left front? The rise is long enough that they still fit for those of us who prefer them at waist. The only drawback is the length. I'm 5'5 and the pants are long for me but not by much. If there was a petite length, I'd be very happy. As it is, there are drawcords at the bottom that I tighten a bit to keep the hems pulled in over boots. It works but I'd prefer a petite length. Even with this, these utilitarian hiking pants are 5 stars.

Rated 3 out of 5 by lmzlde4 Different...
Although I liked the general fit and the pants were initially comfortable, there seemed to be a bit of extra fabric bunching up in the crotch area. Felt too strange and made me want to keep adjusting the pants to see if it would realign (or whatever). Something like that would drive me nuts if I had to wear them longer than a minute or so. If not for that, I would have rated them with 5 stars and kept them. Back to the store they went.

Rated 4 out of 5 by GalADK Great for cooler months!
I have been a long term LL Bean customer and have never been disappointed. Again, another winner! I haven't worn these pants yet and have only tried them on to see if they fit. So far, so good. I'm 5' 7". The length and waist are good. I look forward to wearing them in the cooler weather.
