Rated 5 out of 5 by BKPWKR Excellent pants!
I purchased a pair of these in the fall and I love them! They take the cold winter chill out of a fall blustery day. In the winter, these pants continue to impress me. So much so, that I have bought another pair for myself and a pair for each of my teenage daughters. These pants are absolutely wonderful! We cross country ski with them in comfort on a 15-20 degree day. When it is quite a bit colder, just add some leggings under them and you are toasty! My oldest daughter uses them for work, grooming x-country ski trails and these pants are all she needs most of the time. I am also wearing them to work indoors, making my night shifts less chilly. My only complaint is that they tend to stretch a bit after wearing, making the waist too loose and they begin to look baggy instead of well fitted. Excellent for everyday use in three of four seasons for sure!

I purchased these in November to wear on cold Alabama days. I liked them so much I ordered a second pair to have a change. I seem to wear them everyday! I have the ash which is a dark khaki, and the iron which is dark gray. Right now we are having our coldest weather of the year with temps in the 30s and 40s. They keep my legs warm when I am outdoors, yet are comfortable inside. They are light, not heavy.
I ordered a size 8 regular which is perfect for my 5'5" 120 lb. frame.

I started wearing the unlined version of these pants last summer on a cruise to Alaska (they are wonderful), and decided to give the lined version a try this winter. They are absolutely great pants! The cozy fleece lining feels like I am wearing PJ's. The nylon outer shell blocks wind and moisture. Great for walking the dog on cold, icy days. As a teacher, I can even get away with wearing my black pair to school with a fleece cardigan and nice scarf. They DO run a little small, so you may wish to size up if you don't like tight pants.

Very nice! Wore them almost nonstop for the first 3 days. Especially good for dog walking at 6:30AM in the snow.
Adjustable waist good idea, but unless shirt is tucked in, scratchy on the skin.
Planning on buying another pair soon.

Throw these on with a pair of leggings and you don't feel winter's chill at all!! The Fleece Cargo's were sold out at the Danbury Store & an associate suggested these pants .. Perfect!!

I love the LL Bean lined pants. These ones were tight in the waist for me, so I prefer the Vista trekking pants. Unfortunately the trekking pants only come in Granite right now, but I hope they will add more colors.

I really like these pants. I have several pair of the reg comfort trail pants that I wear in autumn and spring. I usually wear a size 8 but sized up to a 10. I probably could have stayed with the 8 but am not sending back. The main complaint I have is I need a 29 inch inseam and these only come in 31. Wish they would make this style in a petite. Now I have to hem the pants and with the drawstring, it makes it a problem. Other than that, I highly recommend these pants.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Margie5 Perfect for cold morning walks
I purchased these Trail Pants to wear on early morning walks - they''re exactly what I was looking for in terms of weight and lining. The lining is very soft and warm; the outside fabric is great for wetter mornings. There are LOTS of pockets to hold everything, including several zippered pockets for extra security. I am a solid size 6 but after reading the reviews (and knowing there will be days I'll want an additional layer), I ordered a size above (8). Even without the additional layer underneath, the waist feels a bit tight and the rise just a tad short. I definitely recommend going at least a size above what you normally wear (no matter how much it hurts to do this!). I am 5'7" and the length is just a tiny bit short also, but I'd rather have short than too long while wearing outdoors in slush and snow. Bottom line: warm and practical: just sized a bit too small.
