I own 2 pairs of Size 4 Misses Regular Comfort Trail capris -- I read the reviews and ordered up to a Size 6, and I am very very satisfied with these pants. Same fit as the capris, with added toggles/elastic bands hidden discreetly in the hem, to make them gaiters bottoms if you prefer. LOVE THEM. Very warm and waterproof. Wore them all vacation long in the snowy mountains. (NOT for ski but for apres, walking about, and on the plane)

These are my go--to pants the past two winters. The fleece lining is very soft and the pants are good for wearing outside even when temps are in the single digits. The exterior fabric sheds snow in a flash so they never get wet. I use them for cross country skiing, snow shoeing, walking, out to dinner, and even to work (I have a cold office). Overheating is not an issue when in the house. They travel with me on winter trips and never get wrinkled. They have discreet ties inside at the ankle so tightening is possible to get a snug fit over boots.
The fabric has some stretch to it, but with the lining, the rise is lower than the unlined LL Bean Comfort Trail pants (which are awesome companion pants for summer). The quality is great in these pants.
I have three pair of these in black and one of brown so there is always a clean pair waiting. The brown (Ash) is like a dark taupe. I wish LL Bean made these in navy!
I am 160 lbs and 5' 5" and wear a size 14. They are a little tight in the waist, and the waist pulls down a bit, but overall they fit really well. The size 16 would also fit if one liked a roomy pant.
Please keep making these just like they are!

Rated 5 out of 5 by sbg123 This is what I wear all winter
I own 5 pairs of these pants, 2 in this lined version. The black ones need to be exchanged for another pair because the snap will not stay shut, and the waist is not snug on me. But I wear these in all but the very worst driving-wind-and-sleet-and-snow weather to walk my dog, run errands, shovel the driveway.
After many wash-and-dry cycles, tussles with my dog, and doing all sorts of chores in them, the pants look unmarked.
I do wish they would be made in the longer inseam, as the unlined ones are, and as others have noted, I wish they would come in a few more colors. Also as others have noted, the lined version does seem to fit a bit snugger -- I tried on about 10 pairs of the same size to see if I could find the loosest...no luck. For reference, I'm 5' 7.5"/150-55 lb and the 12s are a bit loose.
That said, the cropped ones are on my list for springtime!
Bean's, please make the side zip pocket slightly larger! I don't have a huge phone, but the one I will get next is, still, larger, and that pocket is PERFECT for the phone and my fountain pen!
Worth every dime, these pants.

by Scaler PERFECT PANT!
I was looking for something more comfortable that long underware under my jeans. I walk my dog in all weather here in New England. Today it was 21F, yesterday it was very windy and while crossing a dam in the open with wind swirling snowing off the lake my legs didn't feel a thing and it was colder than today.
I highly recommend these pants, the fit was true to size. I'm 5'5'' and 128 lbs

Rated 5 out of 5 by yanksfan1214 The best pants ever!
I love these pants. I have 3 pairs of the unlined trail pants, which I absolutely love. I live in upstate NY so the temps and wind can be brutal in winter. The lined version of these pants are so comfortable and warm. I find myself wanting to wear them every day! I have them in black, but didn't want the other greenish color as I have a different pair of lined pants in that same color. So I am waiting for LLBean to add a couple more colors for next year! i love the zippered pockets, especially the one on the leg, which holds my cell phone.
I highly recommend!

Rated 4 out of 5 by lkis229 Comfortable and not bulky
I was looking for a pant that was not bulky and would allow me to get rid of my under layer. Most of the pants I found were too heavy, bulky or the quality was lacking.
I have only worn them once but they worked as I had hoped. The outer layer kept me dry through some snow and were somewhat wind resistant. The lining worked great - not sweaty or uncomfortable. I have them 4 stars since I haven't washed them yet but hope they stand up to wear and tear.

Very comfortable pants, nice lining not obvious to observers.
I removed the elastic at the leg bottoms and waist as unnecessary for my purposes.
They are holding up nicely after several washings.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Capester LOVE these pants
I've owned the unlined version of these pants for a few years now. They are AWESOME travel pants... easy wash/line dry. Love them... but I have to pull the waist tab very tight to keep them up.
I figured I'd love the lined version too. I do.
BUT... read the other posts... they run a bit tight. It seems they took the regular unlined version, put in a lining, and didn't account for the extra bulk.
When you order, take this into account. If the unlined version fits you snugly, order one size up. My unlined version were loose, so my regular size in the lined version is perfect (although I probably can't wear a pair of long johns underneath).

Rated 5 out of 5 by DiaH My daily choice!
These pants are a real must for cold MN winters! I wear them almost every day. The fleece lining is soft and warm against my skin. They look good and are SO comfortable! I started having trouble in an older pair with the snap coming open a lot. But when I bought a larger pair, I have had no problem at all with the snap. I guess it wasn't the snap's fault, the old pants were just too snug.
