I wore the unlined version of these pants extensively this past summer and was excited to find them in the lined version. I have found the size 6 at L. L. Bean to be very consistent no matter the style, and these pants are no exception. I was afraid the lining would make me appear heavier, but they are very stylish and slimming, and so practical for our northern winters. I will be wearing these all winter for sure! Please, please make them in Navy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by grammybeanaholic Just found the perfect cool weather pant!
While I have been a fan of the Comfort Trail pants and capris, they can be too light for chilly fall days and I only wear them inside in the winter. So yesterday when I first wore the new lined version...well, it was heavenly! Warm without bulk, fit as well as the unlined (I had been concerned that the extra fabric would make them tight) and looked fabulous.
Yesterday I watched a granddaughter's Fun Run in 40 degree temps, today was two soccer matches in the high 40's and I was comfortable the entire time. These are a huge HOME RUN....how about more colors?

Rated 4 out of 5 by Bella00 Good product if very short legs-Disappointed
Style and comfort exceptional. Quality exceptional. I'm 5/4 & 3/4 and these are too short. When you wear them they bunch/gather a bit at the bottom and become too shorter. My legs, height and weight are average, but these are just too short. No doubt, based on experience with other LLBean products, if I wash these, they will shrink. They would be perfect in a Med-Tall height. I will be returning.

Rated 4 out of 5 by eurekabeaner great pants; not quite stretchy enough
These pants are fabulously warm and cozy, have all the functional features of the unlined version I love so much, and fit even better. I'm 5'0" 145# and have the unlined in 10 Pet (a little snug around tummy to tops of chubby thighs) and 12 Pet (big in waist but adjustable, good ease everywhere else, rise not too long), could only get these in Regular length and tried a 10 - fit was approximately between the 10 & 12 Pet and a little closer to perfect in most every area (and the pockets didn't gap as much). Strangely enough, in a squat, the back waist tended to pull down more than I would like but could have lived with it if that were the only problem. Unfortunately, in Reg, I would have to shorten the legs (can do that if all else is perfect) and then the final straw: just not stretchy enough. Although both layers of fabric stretch, when combined, they were just too tight and binding on my thighs in a big high step. I would be wearing these almost exclusively for cold-weather hiking and snowshoeing and am totally addicted to the complete freedom of motion provided by the unlined version and my other cold-weather pants (LLB Northport pants - not enough pockets, but comfortable!!) If these were for cold-weather spectating or easy walking, I would have kept them in a heartbeat.

I am 5 foot 6 - and these were just a bit too short for me. Wish they came in long because I would have kept them.

I bought a pair of these pants in black last winter and love them. Very comfortable and attractive. I have two pairs of flannel lined jeans and they are functional but look a bit frumpy. These pants are sharp! I don't hesitate to wear them to the office. I was so pleased to see another color offered and so I ordered a pair in ash. I haven't gotten them yet, but if they're the same quality as the black ones I know I'll love them.

Rated 4 out of 5 by BeansRegular Additional Info
I reviewed these pants in February 2014 and am back to add some information to my review. I have now had the pants for 4 months and wore them almost every other day for the super cold and cooler days. I have washed them many times. I am a slim size 4 with straight boyish hips. I have noticed some pilling on the inside lining of the waistband that I did not expect to see after only 4 months. I wash them in cold water on a gentle cycle and line dry only.
Also, the adjustable waistband has caused some trouble in that the elastic pops off the button frequently and the waistband can suddenly loosen (I find the waist to be relatively loose as compared with the hips). Sometimes the elastic will twist inside the waistband and create a bunchy look. A few times the end of the elastic will pop off the button and slip inside the waistband and need to get fished out. I like the suggestion of a previous reviewer to leave one side on the last button and adjust only the other side, doubling up the elastic on the button at the end. I will try that or possibly tack the elastic down with one stitch on each end (so it can be easily removed if I need to change the adjustment at a later time).
My last issue is again with the length. I usually need a 32" inseam in casual pants, and the lined pants are only offered in regular length(30"), not medium tall (32"). I can make do because winter shoes are bulkier, but the 30" pants barely touch the top of my shoes. Please make these pants in regular and medium tall length. Also, please offer them in other neutral colors such as gray (medium and dark), olive, tan, brown.
Despite the issues I mentioned, I still love these pants and their stretchiness and warmth, and would heartily recommend them to others.

Rated 4 out of 5 by mfsreviews Great Outdoor Pants
I bought these pants to wear playing golf in April in New Hampshire and they are perfect for that. They are warm and comfortable and have great large pockets (3 zippered) for all the things you need to have and keep handy. My only negative comment is that even with the inner waist adjustments, I find that the waist is a little large and they tend to slip down. Not a deal breaker though as all the other great things outweigh this one thing.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Golfingfanatic Great for those early morning tee times, however
It would be nice if these came in anything other than black. My girlfriend has a pair in a nice maroon check. The fleece lining is soft and warm, the nylon like outside breaks the wind and keeps you dry.
Can't imagine golfing at this time of year without them.

Have worn these EXTENSIVELY through this tough winter -- both alone and with a wool underlayer, depending on weather -- cross-country skiing, shoveling, etc. No evidence of wear. Very comfortable. Only complaint is the (necessary) adjustable elastic band. For some reason, it pops off the button and I have had to fish it out on a number of occasions. I finally have one side on the first hole, adjusting it on the other side and then doubling back -- i.e. securing it through 2 buttonholes. Hasn't happened since.
