I really like the weight and warmth of these pants but there are two things that need improving. I did not realize that these pants don't have belt loops (instead they use adjustable elastic in the waist#. The elastic does help with the fit but it can pinch and I really need a belt to attach my dog treat/waste bag bag to. Had I known that they don't have belt loops I probably would not have ordered them but since I did and do like them otherwise I just sewed some on myself. The other thing that effected my rating was the external material. It is a magnet for all sorts of fuzz and needs lint rolling more often than I prefer #I prefer never). I ordered the size recommended on LLBean's sizing chart but I think I could have gone with one size smaller. I am 5'7" and weigh 148ish.

Rated 5 out of 5 Just the thing for this snowy winter
I love these pants! I ordered a size larger than usual to allow for long johns underneath, a good idea during this long snowy winter. I've worn them indoors when the heat is down, out shoveling snow, and even for a quick XC ski outing. Right now they're my favorites!

Rated 4 out of 5 by dressagemaven Would be better with a belt
Love these pants! Except.... I bought them a size too large so I could wear extra long underwear or pull them on over riding breeches and they're extremely warm, almost as good as my snow pants. BUT, the flimsy elastic that's adjustable in the waistband isn't tight enough to keep them up unless I have a lot of layers underneath. Also, due to where the buttons are, it's very, very easy to accidentally unbutton the elastic when pulling them up so that the elastic has pulled back into the waistband once already. I'm going to try and find a thin belt that I can slip through where the elastic goes and belt them from the inside. They'd be perfect if LL Bean could fix this.

Rated 4 out of 5 by pinade Nice pant but too short
I really liked these pants because they are not the typical bulky ski pants. They were exactly what I was looking for. The fit was great, however, I am only 5'6" and they were too short. An inch longer would have been great.

Had gotten one pair liked them so well got another. The rise could be just a bit higher since I have worn them with under armor type long johns that are higher. These wear well, keep wind off and are very comfortable.

While the lined pants fit great, they were far too short (and I'm only 5'4"). It's too bad the lined pants don't come in longer lengths like the unlined pants do; they were otherwise extremely comfortable and added just the right amount of warmth.

Rated 5 out of 5 by sse1 comfortable, great fit
At 5'4", 118lbs, the size 6 was too baggy, returned those and ordered the size 4. It was a perfect fit. They are warm and comfy, easy to move in. My go to pants in cold weather in the northeast region.

I love these pants. The lining gives just the warmth I need. I have the capris and shorts and they are my go to bottoms. Keep making them and I will keep buying them.

Rated 5 out of 5 by LittleGuy Absolutely love them!
I think every woman living north of Georgia should own a pair of these pants. I am 5' 2" and weigh 110. The small fits me perfectly. The pants are nice and warm but not bulky. I wear them for walking, tennis, out to dinner. They look and feel great. I would have ordered another color, but they are not available now. Maybe next winter!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Emmys great winter pants
I followed a customer's suggestion and bought a size up. Perfect!
On really cold days when I'm outdoors I can wear long underwear and be warm and comfortable. The pants are very well constructed. They have an adjustable elastic waistband and there is an ingenious elastic drawstring hidden in a pocket at the leg bottoms should you want to draw in that area.
