Rated 2 out of 5 by Kannth Elbow sleeve dSopneck
I have ordered several (maybe two each year) of these tops and loved them when I wore them for the first time. I wash them in cold water and dry on drying rack - no dryer at all. I now have maybe eleven shirts that have shrunk and are too short from top to bottom. Where is this "Tested to ensure the fabric and fit remain the same, wash after wash?" I don't see it in any one of my tops but I have now learned my lesson - no more of these tops; I don't care how well I like the scoop neck and elbow length sleeves. Sorry L.L. Bean, you can do better than this!

Rated 2 out of 5 Disappointed
Very disappointed in these shirts. Love the colors and feel but they do shrink. I wash in cold water and hang to dry, but they have shrunk up in the torso, I can no longer wear them. Please add more length to these, maybe tunic length, and more elbow sleeves to your line.

These need to be preshrunk before cutting pattern pieces. That's basic sewing 101.
I've been using L.L. Bean shirts for years, but lately all the Pima blouses are far too short. By "fall at hip," you must mean fall right below waist. I have a pima top I bought years ago, which is about 3 inches longer than these.
Please create a tunic length that's "hip covering" like your competition. I'd pay a few dollars more for one with more coverage.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Samm17 Too short AGAIN
I'm going to have to echo what other reviewers are saying about this shirt. I love the sleeve length and the scoop neckline. What I hate is that with each wash (about 4 or 5 now) the length has shrunk, now totaling a few inches. I used to be a loyal LLBean tshirt customer but stopped buying from Bean at all a few years ago, because I started having this problem with all of the Tshirts I was buying. I bought 2 colors and have stopped wearing them because they just look bad now.

Rated 3 out of 5 by yankeetransplant32 Shrinks short and boxy
Great color but the fit was a bit wide and boxy. After I washed it, it shrunk short. If I raise my arms even a little, my belly shows. I bought a petite M because I'm 5'3" and 130 lbs. I didn't have this problem with some other petite shirts I ordered from LL Bean. I kept it because it'll be fine for wearing around the house on weekends, but I'm not likely to wear it out of the house.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Flygalmoonbeam True Navy color is not a true dark navy blue
If you are expecting the True Navy color to be a dark navy blue you will be very disappointed. The color is closer to a dark royal blue or dark cornflower blue. The material used for this shirt is comfortable. I usually wear medium size but always size up to a Large for this shirt as it does shrink in the dryer.

Rated 3 out of 5 by darcyrose Beautiful shirts but they do shrink
I agree with other reviewers about the shrinking. I have three of these shirts that I bought two years ago. The styling is beautiful and I love that they can be dressed up. But even after cold water washing and drying for about 15 minutes on the lowest setting, they shrunk quite a bit. Fortunately, I am only 5'3", so I can still wear them, but just barely. I would definitely prefer them longer. They are such versatile shirts and I would like more, so I keep checking reviews periodically to see if the problem has been remedied. Sadly, that does not seem to be the case.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Ship2 Lovely color; snug fit
I love the style, color (arctic purple) and quality of this tee; which is why I will keep it. The sizing however, not so much. I ordered a larger size than I usually wear and it is still a bit snug, which is why I only gave it 4-stars. The size seems to run small in this tee.. You can dress it up or down and it looks great. And did I mention that it is a good quality and nicely cut tee, wears well and overall I just plain look good in it!

Rated 1 out of 5 by pickypicky2 not satisfied
I bought several of these at full price and am sorry I spent the money. I lost a lot of weight and wanted to hide my crepey arms. But the fabric is too hot and doesn't breathe. Cut is not 'slightly fitted' but rather really boxy and does not do anything for defining my waist line. Needs to be more fitted through waist line. Also they are way too short and do not look good unless I tuck them in. Need to add 2 inches to the length. All in all they make me look very matronly.

Great silky cotton material. For me, it was too boxy and short. Came down to my upper hip just barely covered top of my pants.
The China Blue is beautiful. Might try another Bean shirt in the same color but longer cut.
