Rated 1 out of 5 by BERNHARDT RETURN OF MEN'S RUGGED RIDGE GLOVES
WHEN THE GLOVES ARRIVED, I TRIED TO PUT THEM ON. COULD NOT DO IT. THE FINGERS OF THE INNER LINER WERE NOT IN THE FINGERS OF THE GLOVE SHELL. I WAS ABLE TO WORK SOME INTO PLACE, BUT COULD NOT DO THE LITTLE FINGERS AND SOME OTHERS. I RETURNED THE GLOVES WITH THE ENCLOSED PRE PAID LABEL ETC. MADE IN CHINA. THANKS FOR YOUR RETURN POLICY; IT MADE THE PROCESS EASY.

The inner lining, at the fingertips, is not attached to the outer shell, making the glove impossible to put on. The inner lining bunches up, and you have to wiggle your fingers around inside the glove to try to straighten out the inner lining. After about five minutes, I was able to get the left glove on, but was never able to put the right glove on. After taking the left glove off, it took five minutes to put it on again. It should not take 10 minutes (assuming I can ever get the inner liner of the right glove straightened out) to put on a pair of gloves.

I received these gloves in December, 2011. They simply are not warm and my fingers turn blue when it is 20 degrees outside. It says they are warmer now, I'd have to see. They do stay dry. Not worth the money. I've had much warmer gloves for a lot fewer $$'s

I gave my husband these gloves for Christmas, one pair in each color. He has very wide hands and very short fingers, the extra large fit him perfectly. He used them for snowblowing, they kept his hands warm and dry. He intends to wear these gloves just for shoveling and snowblowing.

Rated 4 out of 5 by LLBeanNoNameLeft Warm, good grip for snowblower
When I first tried to pull these on; I had my doubts as it was difficult to get my fingers into these gloves as others have mentioned. But once i got them on; they were warm and comfortable running my snowblower. I find that these gloves seem to go on easier as I wear and use them more so think they may "wear in".
They're the warmest gloves I have found to date for operating the snowblower and cold hands have always been a problem for that task. I haven't even tried adding the handwarmer packet yet but like the option for when/ if needed!

Rated 1 out of 5 by wolf99 Poor fit, impossible to get on
I requested this item for Christmas and was surprisingly disappointed after trying to put on. I could not even get the right glove on my hand. My pinkie finger would not go in. I did get the left glove on, but the fingers were too long and there was no room in the hand/palm area. The lining seemed way too loose. I am usually satisfied with Bean products that I order probably 95% of the time. This just happened to be one of the 5% that I am not. This one is definitely going back. Since it was a gift, I'll likely just exchange it for a shirt and get my ski gloves at a store so I can try on.

The 1st pair was XL and the fingers were about 1/2" too long, I returned them for size L. The large was the correct finger size but very tight through the palm area, so they are going back as well. Both pairs were rather difficult to put on b/c the lining seemed not to be attached very well to the shell.

Rated 5 out of 5 by iboughtaquiltatbeans Think I found a great winter work glove
I needed a replacement for my old worn out gloves I've used for years to snowblow and for clearing snow and crusty ice from around my house in New Hampshire. Being a new product, there was only a single rating for these gloves when I ordered them and that review was only a single star. They looked better than 1-star, so I figured I see for myself and would return them if necessary. Well I won't be returning them! Still haven't had the opportunity to put them through a real test outdoors in ice and snow, but the look and feel of these gloves says Quality. The "rubber" palm and finger grip surface looks like it will perform well. The adjustable strap is a nice touch for a custom fit around my wrist. In addition, there's a handy drawstring at the end of the cuff, and the cuff is long enough to stay tucked inside my coat sleaves or stay cinched tight over the outside without letting blowing snow in while I work. I ordered big -like many other customers recommend- and they fit great; fingers are plenty long enough. There's also pocket on the back side of the palm for holding a "hand warmer packet", but for me I'm sure the gloves themselves will be plenty warm enough. I think I found myself a really good winter weather "work glove".

I'm not that impressed with these gloves. They are very hard to put on. The pinkie finger is the toughest.
