First time use involved a winter camp where we had some windy conditions. There was a bit of rain (temp went up a bit so snow was not an issue).
Compared to my other four season tent, this was much easier to set up (the clips work great!). While other tents were getting blown into weird shapes by the moderate wind gusts (20-25 mph), our tent held up and didn't move at all. Despite wind throughout the night, the tent remained pretty quiet on the inside (probably the four poles cut down on flapping/movement).
We didn't get a lot of rain but there were no leaks.
The only thing I have a minor gripe with is that the insect screen in the doors is a bit of a hassle. As it covers the whole door you must unzip it separately from the door (ie can't just unzip door and screen w/ one zipper but have to unzip the door, then the screen). Not too big of a problem as we just rolled up the screen since no bugs were out and I assume we'll roll up the door when it's warm (just leave the screen up for ventilation/bug protection). However when it is early spring/late fall it could be a tedious as both screen and door may be desired - both would have to be opened and the screen dangles (can be ripped by getting caught in the door zipper or adult/little kids feet tripping on it, and ripping on entry/exit). We'll just have to be a bit more careful at that time.
Overall and outstanding tent and value from LL Bean with one very manageable gripe.

I got this tent from my wife for xmas. I had been bugging for a four season tent for some time. I didnt even know LL Bean sold these tents. I was a little sceptical at first. I tested this tent in my backyard as I didnt want to be out too far if it didnt hold up. I had it set up for a few days. During that time it rained and snowed. The temps. were around 10-20 degrees F. I have a small heater that I use and in that tent it was awesome. I turn the heat off before bed and back on in the morning. The tent heated up wonderfully and kept me dry. I am very happy with this tent and would quickly recommend it. Set up is extremely easy as well. I am looking forward to camping in Feb. in the mountains in PA.

by FinestKind Simply love it!
Bought this tent last year in the spring and am itching now to take it back to Bar Harbor, ME. Used a pup tent when I was young and after a long break had picked up a Coleman's a couple of years ago, which I didn't mind to lose during a move. Did a fair amount of research and actually drove up to Freeport when I couldn't decide between two finalists. Decided on this with footprint and found it to be a dream in ease to put up, in finish, and in simply worry-free camping. This is not for the novice, who won't appreciate the quality and finess--for the seasoned and the spoiled like me this just might the tent for the rest of our days.

by AKMatt Great Tent for tough conditions!
I've used this tent on several hunts in Alaska over the last five years and have never been disappointed. It holds up incredibly well to a substantial snow load or harsh wind. When the temps drop, it warms up quickly with just your body heat, and with the vents fully opened it stays cool and allows good air circulation during warmer temperatures. Before buying an expensive name brand tent, I highly recommend considering this well thought out 4 season tent. It truly is a all around great tent.

This tent doesn't get the attention it deserves. It has all the features of the high end mountaineering tents, without the cost. I have had this tent out for several trips now and it did a wonderful job of keeping the snow and wind right where it was supposed to be... on the outside. If you're just doing typical winter camping and in need of a great 4 season tent, then don't pass this one by. Serving me very well so far.

I used this tent three times this winter once right after I recieved it the next time during the 2013 noreaster and last weekend on sebago lake with 50mph wind gusts it held up to the snow from the noreaster and the wind on the lake. My friends had good quality tents and they were folded flat from the wind my tent never even moved. If you want a really good tent for a good price then look no further.

Rated 5 out of 5 great product
I am an avid hiker, camper, outdoorsman. And I have been shopping around for a nice tent to replace the old one I have. I shopped around for weeks. Finally I stumbled upon this one. I ordered it and four days later it was here. My wife and I took for a labor day four day camping trip. We absolutely loved this tent. We kept cool and comfortable. The hook ontop is perfect for hanging a fan on. and with the vents open it stays nice and cool all night. And the vestibules on each side are more than big enough for all your gear. As far as I'm concerned this tent can withstand anything. It's so sturdy and amazing. The only complaint I do have is that the zipper get caught very bad when opening the vestibule in front. But we love this tent. I am very happy I bought this. I live in Wisconsin and look forward to taking this tent on my first icefishing/camping expedition. In a few months!!!! Great product ll bean. You should be proud.
