Rated 5 out of 5 by MerryScott Better than expected
I purchased these poles as well as the women's poles for my girlfriend. I did not do any research on them, I made the purchase based on L.L. Bean's reputation. These poles are fantastic! We have hiked numerous hikes in the Northeast that include Mount Katahdin, Mount Washington, Mount Lafayette, etc., etc. The locks on these poles have NEVER slipped. Having two sections of the pole that are adjustable makes a world of difference. The grips on the poles are comfortable and the hand straps adjust easily. The carbide tips grip most rocks very well. We also have used these poles while out snowshoeing, and they worked extremely well. The baskets are easy to put on or to take off. The poles are expensive, however, I will definitely purchase another set of these poles if I ever break these!! So far these poles have held up extremely well, better than I had expected. We are both very happy with our purchase.

I had done a lot of research on these walking poles. There were not any reviews on these so I was skeptical. I loved the fact they were four seasons, I did not need to buy all the extras. I live in a four season area. The main reason for this purchase was I had three back surgeries. My walk was bad not stable. My husband suggested to try these so we did. These make the world of difference. I am balanced able to walk straight. I am more stable, they are conferable, light weight and easy to use.
When I am better we plan to hike at letchworth and rollerblading. I am looking forewarned to using these on a daily basis to help with my rehab.
These really work I recommend to anyone for exercise and rehab they take the pressure off.
