Thick, luxurious wool pants that really keep one warm on cold days and nights. I've worn these pants through two Minneapolis winters, and they keep me toasty warm when outside down to -10║ F with no second layer under them. Even below -10 and they're still better than any other pant I have for warmth. Yet, one doesn't get too hot when wearing them inside, and they're not itchy. Minimal piling. I love the look and feel of the fabric, and while the bell bottom design does not bother me too much (they're clearly designed for use with boots), the gadget pockets on the sides can sometimes seem too much of a flair with little real use value. Overall, highly recommended for those who spend any time outdoors in extreme cold conditions.

I just returned from a 13 day Spring bear hunt(in a tent) on Kodiak Island. The weather was wet(snow, rain, sleet), cold(25-40F) and windy(25-35 mph) 24/7. These pants performed GREAT!. I was not cold nor wet. Had to wear them even in the mummy bag to stay warm. I highly recommend them.

Nice pants, comfortable. The very wide, almost bell bottoms could be reduced to a more normal, conventional size. Warm.

The first pair arrived 4 inches short of what was ordered. The second pair was about 2.5 inches larger in waist than marked. Am awaiting 3rd pair. I would give up but I want something very warm and these are heavy wool. They are very unattractive, however. Best worn by loggers.

I love wool pants as they are quite, warm (even when wet), they are not super bulky, and they are durable. The tough things about wool pants are that they aren't super comfortable against your skin and they can't be machine washed. As far as I'm concerned these pants fix the problems with wool pants without ruining the positive values. They do seem a little long however, but not terribly so.

When I first got these, I wore them around the house for hours. Fit great, except a little long. Very comfortable, no itch. THEN - I stuck my wallet in the left cargo pocket, and walked around with it. To my utter disappointment, the wallet tapped away at the top of my kneecap in an irritating way. Not acceptable. I can't understand why clothing manufacturers put strange features into their designs, like a cargo pocket just above the kneecap. I returned the pants. SO CLOSE - But not.

I just got back from a week long guided CO elk hunt during the third rifle season (Early Nov). I packed three pair of pants and ended up wearing these pants every single day. They we light, they were dry and they were warm. Even when wet they stayed warm. We hiked, road horse and stand hunted and they never let me down. Matched with a good set of long johns and you are set for any temperature. The only reason I gave them 4 stars versus 5 is because the thigh zippers should zip down and not up. During the hunt I continually had to zip them up. Also, the bottom of the pant is too wide, almost like a boot cut. If you hunt in snow you better wear gaiters or you are going to get a chilly surprise.

Rated 5 out of 5áby Fodd These are great hunting wools!
I love these wool pants! They are very comfortable and very quiet and though these are not heavy wools they are plenty warm for the person who still hunts for White Tails. When hunting deer I am out from sun up till sun down, still hunting and sitting, still hunting and sitting etc... These wools allow freedom of movement and are not to heavy to hunt in temperatures up to around 45 degrees but are plenty warm to still hunt with temperatures as cool as 20 degrees... They are quite and, dare I say, even stylish.. Even the belt loops are of good construction and spacing allowing for bullet loops, knives, dry bottoms and the like. When the time comes for a replacement I hope these wools are still available.
