This lunch box would barely hold food for a toddler! You cannot fit any reasonably sized container. It would be ok for a snack, but you could not fit a sandwich, veggies, fruit and a beverage in this.
Great construction, great quality, but simply too small for an adult lunch. It would be perfect if it were 30% larger

My son has been using this lunch box for two years. Although a little banged up, it gets the job done. Very easy to clean - usually put some soap in it and fill with water, let it sit, and then dump it out. I plan on buying two more for my other boys. Very pleased with the lunchbox as well as all the other school items.

I pack three sippy cups full of milk for my son daily and his milk stays ice cold all day. I do put two ice packs around the sippy cups and one on the top of the lunch bag. It works great and fits my needs. I bought myself one so I could use it for my lunch.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Momto4under10 I can't imagine a better lunch bag!
I don't usually take the time to write reviews but I have to say how perfect these lunch totes are. I have 4 kids - a 4th grader, 2nd grader, 1st grader and preschooler. For my kids in elementary school we are going on to year 3 (that's right, 3 YEARS! with the same durable lunch bag) They don't get gross no matter how many yogurts explode because they are machine washable, then air dry. They come out looking like new and you don't have to try to hand clean in the crevices, you just pull out the white lining (it's attached but can be inverted, if that makes sense) and pop it the whole thing in the washer.
They are a little bit on the pricier side, but you get what you pay for - and the reality is that since they are built to last and easily washable, we'll have these for at least 4 years, the only reason I can see getting another in the near future would be to have a different pattern!
We don't use the long detachable over the shoulder strap, just the top hand strap on the tote. The top is a great place for ice packs or a water bottle (as pictured), and the zipper area is enough space to hold a fork or napkins or mustard packets. We love this tote!

We just received these a few weeks ago, as they were on backorder. It was WELL worth the wait! This kit is roomy, well-made, and well thought out. It actually keeps food cold! On a day with temps in the 60s, I opened up the kit late in the afternoon and the freeze pack was still partially frozen. So, I feel safe sending foods that need chilling in this pack with my kids. Other kits annoyed me because they tore easily, they did not keep food cold, and when I tried to pack them, they fell over (major annoyance!). This kit solved all of my problems. I love it so much, I'm getting one for myself.

Rated 5 out of 5 by CorkeyC Best purchase of the school year!
I bought two of these lunch boxes last summer (August 2012) because I was tired of buying cheap boxes that fell apart before Christmas. These have held up amazingly well under the abuse heaped upon them by teenaged boys. Liners are intact (always the first to go on the cheap boxes), outside has no rips, zippers still working great. My sons may actually be able to use the same lunch boxes for more than one school year! Very roomy, too: Fits 16-24 oz reusable water bottle, square sandwich container, half-cup or one-cup container, fruit and bag of chips with room to spare. Worth every penny of the cost over cheap ones.

I bought 3 of these lunchboxes for my oldest 3 kids based upon reviews for it and the fact that it was so easy to clean. I'm about to purchase my 4th for my youngest since she's about to start Kindergarten! These are the best lunchboxes! I usually put a small cooler box in wiht the lunches and the kids always say their lunch is cold when they eat. If I send a hot lunch, aside from the thermos it's sent it, their lunch stays hot--or really warm when they eat it! Worth the money for sure!

Rated 3 out of 5 by kauaigal great BUT
i like everything about this lunch bucket - EXCEPT the white lining gets a dark mildew stain that will not come out even with bleach -- looks nasty, even when clean.
otherwise i like the design the extra pockets for cold pack and utensils. i would get another if i could be guaranteed it would not do the same thing.
there are a lot of cheaper similar lunch bags out there, so paying this much one expects it not to have these problems.

The stated dimensions match a lunchbox I already have from LL Bean so I thought it would be similar. I carry a pasta bowl with me to mix up my daily salad. It simply could not fit in this one so I returned it.

I use this to pack my lunch daily. I keep an ice pack in the top part, and use the bottom for a bento style box. There's even room to the side of the bento box to put an apple or yogurt that wouldn't fit in. I don't use the strap. My lunch manages to stay cool all day sitting in my classroom, so the insulation seems to be working well.
