Rated 5 out of 5 by BeansRegular One Exceptional Shirt
I have been looking at these shirts online for a while and finally decided to purchase 2 when they went on sale. I got the brassy olive and the apple cinnamon. The shirts are absolutely beautiful on, finely tailored of a thick stretchy (but with good rebound) cotton fabric that feels exceptionally soft on the skin. The 2 colors that I have are not the 'typical' colors found in stores, but do remind me of the popular colors on the 70's, yet look fine with all modern styles.
The buttons are a beautiful real swirled shell. The pockets are small enough to not look strange over the bust, they are in fact complimentary in the XS that I wear. This shirt is meant to fit with a nice drape and the richness of the fabric allows it to skim the body without any clinging or stretching out. It fits absolutely true to size, as I am exactly an XS on the size chart, and the XS fits as if it was made for me. I have worn the shirt to a social event and also to a professional work environment--it fits in both arenas. Unlike the average woven shirt, the collar is not stiff and pokey, and this shirt is very comfortable for all day wearing. I have not yet washed either shirt, but I do not expect any problems, since this is such a fine quality item.
This shirt is so exceptional, I may even buy the black one, a color that I rarely wear! Both of the colors that I bought look nice with many of the pants and skirts that I already own. If you love comfort and great style, this shirt is for you.

I read the reviews before I bought this shirt on sale and they were most helpful..I am 5`2" and I have a bustline but when this shirt arrived I quickly tried it on and it is perfect..No problem with the smart pockets on this 36D frame! I chose a medium size and it is fine..The metal buttons are most attractive and different..THe apple/cinnamon colour is exactly that..wish this shirt came in more colours! This is a neat fitting, soft to wear on my skin,groovy/sharp shirt.Well made too.A hit L.L.Bean It also hits me near the hip bone..tuck in or leave out..

Don't miss this shirt, especially cause its on sale. Bought all three colors. Wash great, dry lovely, no ironing needed. No shrinkage, no stretching, no fading. Hope we see more colors in the spring, or maybe one with elbow or 3/4 sleeve.

I purchased this shirt on a whim (sale) and am glad I did. It has the look of a casual button-front but is so, so , SO much more comfortable due to the substantial knit fabric. I agree with a previous reviewer in that the cut really does accommodate a larger bust/small frame build (I'm a 32 DD for reference). The structured shape is great for a curvier figure, too. The sleeves on this shirt are the teensiest bit long, which is normal for me, so the sleeves are the expected length. The overall length is just right (I'm 5'4) and tuck-in-able with enough to stay put but without too much extra ( I feel the tucking-in enhances the awesome 70's vibe mentioned in the description. The rust color also contributes). A winner.

Rated 5 out of 5 by buckytime fantastically versatile
I have purchased two of these shirts, one in Brassy Olive, one Black. They can be dressed up or dressed down. They are a little stretchy, so if you have a larger bust on a smaller frame the shirt accommodates your assets without looking too boxy. The shirt is also a thicker knit, very rare in these modern times where everything is made of thin modal. I only wish they had more colors!

Purchased this item to wear w/gab blend suit in gray. Quality, mid-weight woven fabric reminiscent of 70s garb. Soft & versatile button down shirt, can wear dressed up or for casual wear w/jeans or skirt.

Rated 4 out of 5 by petiteshopr Too long for Petite
Loved the look of this shirt (pine print fabric) and had my fingers crossed that it might work for me in the XS but alas... I must say that I did not focus on the fact that this was in the 'knit' category and was surprised that it is a weighty, stretchy fabric instead of a woven pima cotton. Unfortunately for this 5'4" petite, the shirt was just too long (falling at my low hip line) and the fabric not to my liking though very soft with nice print pattern. So, back it will go. BUT the tailoring/construction is fantastic on the one I received...much care was taken to try to match the print's pine branch lines on the front pockets and back center seam. You rarely see anything like that with clothing in this price range these days!

Rated 2 out of 5 by kathyplus4 Cut small; chest pockets too much
Heavy material, which is good for cold winters. The cut is small and buttons gapped at the chest. In addition, the two pockets on the chest add too much bulk to the shirt, adding weight to my appearance.

What a flattering shirt! The knit fabric is soft, thick, and substantial, and I absolutely love the print. I appreciate the 3 buttons on the sleeve, 2 on the cuff, 1 on the forearm, which allow me to turn back the cuffs or roll up the sleeves. I took my usual size, and the fit is tailored but comfortable, especially because the fabric is stretchy. The one downside (and the reason for the 4 stars) is it's pricey, but it's so unique I'll live with it.
