Rated 2 out of 5 by Momdoer Not a true Slim fit.
I am 6'3" and 210 average build (not super thin). I usually buy my slim fitting shirts from J-Crew. I loved the colors of this shirt and bought it but this is in no way a slim fitting shirt. I bought the Large and it is huge. The fabric is very thin like others have pointed out. I wouldn't mind the fabric if it was a better fit.

All shirts of this nature, no matter the quality, should have two chest pockets. period.

I really like the signature cut . It works well for a slim fit . Shirt fabric is thin but I prefer this with my collar shirts . I find it makes them comfortable in all seasons . The colors and very vibrant .

Rated 5 out of 5 by LLBeanCollegeShopper Excellent shirt
This shirt fits exceptionally well if you have a slim body type. Depending on what color you get, it can be very versatile. It hasn't faded after several washes, and it's pretty durable overall. Most definitely would recommend this.

Rated 4 out of 5 by albqnm So far, so good
I just received the shirt last week, so I'm evaluating first impressions. Construction quality, seams, and material are fine. Colors - black/white - are clear and bright. In fact, I would rate this shirt a five, but for one industry-wide flaw: the sizing.
I am, or was, 5'8" before I began shrinking. I weigh under 150 pounds. Forty years ago I bought shirts in medium sizes. Shirts were sized by chest, neck, and sleeve lengths, and I fit comfortably into the middle of the medium range.
Today's vanity sizing is ridiculous. The shirt I received is termed a slim-fit. I race bicycles, and the Italian-cut jerseys are a slim fit; My shirt is not. I don't want competition-cut shirts, but I could weigh 175-180 and still fit into this shirt.
It looks fine, and I won't return it, but be warned that slim is meaningless in a consumer market where an "average" physique includes men my height who approach 200 pounds.

I have to come back and write a second review if I may. I took note of the Gunmetal color at first, and did not really like it. I just received this color a couple of days ago, and I have to say what an original blend! It looks fantastic with dark navy jeans! Well, just proves looking at just a photo doesn't do an item justice sometimes! Thanks Signature!

Rated 5 out of 5 by TallSkinnyGuy Perfect fit, great looking shirt
I love these shirts. I own three of them! I have a very hard time finding shirts that fit my tall, thin frame (15.5" neck, 38" chest, 35" arms). The Tall Medium in this shirt is a perfect fit. The patterns are really good-looking, too. Thanks, LL Bean for a great product!
Note that this is a lightweight shirt. I wear mine in all seasons, but i usually add a sweater in the winter.

Can't get enough of these shirts.. I am after the colors. So nice! Been collecting these since the Signature line was released. Can't wait for Spring of 2014 to be introduced! Slim fitting shirts and still the material moves with you. Lightweight and cool. You must iron after a wash, but the result is fabulous! Medium slim is what I collect. 5' 9" tall. 180 lbs.

I was highly disappointed in the quality (fabric weight) of an item in the LL Bean Signature catalog. Had I seen the shirt in a brick and mortar store of any kind, I would have put the shirt back on the shelf after seeing the fabric. I returned the shirt to LL Bean.

Rated 4 out of 5 by mattva Good fit and feel
Bought this shirt over others based on reviews that it had a slimmer, more fitted cut. I wasn't disappointed - the fit is slim and tailored, no bagginess around the waist. I'm 5'7", 150#, with a slim/athletic build, and the small fits me perfectly. Material and color are very nice as well. Would definitely buy it in other colors patterns. L.L.Bean - make whatever template you used for this shirt your default!
